Object inside my subwoofer ( kicker L715)

Strange really i renctly bought a 2nd hand subwoofer when it arrived i took it out of the box to find that there was something moving inside of the subwoofer.some sort of object. i decided to hook it up and it just got worse as the object kept bouncing back and fort of the cone.

i tested the cone to see if it scraped etc and all was fine. would there be some sort of component inside what could of broken of?

many thx and looking forward for any advice.

Thats the stuff thay use to make the speaker cone out of . ther is a hole on the botom of the speaker with a small screen that is about 1 inch in diamater on the kiker l7 u can take a wratchet extention and push this in very carfully now take the speaker and shake it up and down real fast till it make no more rataling now look on the ground that is what your problem was it had broke some of the old glue or cone now u might have a biger problem check to see if ther is anny separation around the yelow mesh screen area were the cone conects if not then your good to go

Ive had that happen to me with 2 12in infinity subs . (my first system) haha  i dont knwo what it is but it sounds like a piece of solder weld has broken off in there where the voice coils conect to the cone..  its a manufacture defect  nothin you can really do about it without taking it totally apart ... then the hard part is putn it back together .. specially if it wasnt suposed to ba taken apart lol

2 kicker cvr 12's in prewired kicker box with 1 wire terminal, kicker cx1200.1 amp. Whats the best way to wire this combo?

Well you really can't run both speakers on one term. because you will over heat the amp , unless your amp is rated at twice the capability of your subs , Then if so , Try positive to one sub , then neg. to the other sub , then bridge the remaining positive to the remaining negative terminal , But it is really best to get a two channel amp for your subs !!!

My one kickers car speaker won't turn on, i replaced the old speakers and put these new kickers 6" speakers. One speakers works but other one doesn't?

try bridging them , first check wires from amp to box or boxes connectors , then check wires inside the box or boxes , then check fuses on amp !

I have a 2011 gmc sierra and im putting a kicker comp vr 12 in there and i was wondering how much airspace i would need the box im looking @ is .98 i hope its enough airspace and its ported box

For optimal performance there is really only one size for the box .Firstly, you get two different types of subwoofers, an open air, or closed air sub. If it is an open air sub ( hole with mesh in the center of the magnet) no ports are required, and the box should be sealed on the inside with silicone sealant. If it is a closed air sub ( no hole in the magnet) you need a 50mm port about 120mm long. If it is a 12 inch sub the box size will be 13 inches x 13 inches x 13 inches. Hope this helps

What are the specs on a kicker sub box for a challenger srt8

On a 8 inch subwoofer ranging between 80Hz and 120Hz, the box size required should be around 11 liters, meaning that you will end up with a box of 9 inches high, x 9 inches wide, x 9 inches deep. Or 225mm high, x 225mm wide, x 225mm deep. Seal the box on the inside with silicone for better bass.
