Question about Hampton Bay Heating & Cooling

Open Question

I have a older model of a Hampton Bay air conditioner. Looks like maybe 10 years old or better, anyway I cannot find a serial number, model number, nor can I find where there is a filter for it. I can describe the unit, it's a small window unit, maybe 5,000 btu's maybe. It has two top horizontal vent panels, down below the horizontal vent panels to the right of the unit is a small panel with a door to it with the controls for the temperture, coolness for the unit. Hampton Bay is located inside this panel with a little latch to open vent and close vent on the door of this panel are the numbers 11-14-0901E PS. My problem is I cannot find a way to replace the filter for this unit. I live here in the apartment for 5 years. Please help!!!!

SOURCE: What does the "dry mode" mean in a Hampton Bay air

The "dry mode" dehumidifies the air. This is useful when you do not need to cool the air but the relative humidity is higher than you want to have inside. You get the advantage of bringing in the fresh air without increasing the indoor humidity.

I hope this helps.

I have a Goodman model number CKL36-1D, serial number 0103555264. When was it manufactured? I was told that it was 3-5 years old. Please confirm...clarify. Thanks.

Serial number 0103 = 2001, March. It is now 2011 so your unit is just over 10 years old or about half its life has been used.

Blown capacitor on 4 year old ac hampton bay is

Not common, keep in mind compositor work almost like a fuse but restrict certain amount of voltage to flow through, power surge or unit overload from AC compressor kicking on and off can cause the resistor to fail; its parts of electronics working. My AC unit trip my main fuse box once in the great while, nothing surprises me when it come to electronics.

Air condition unit freezes up

the unit may be too small for the room. or the filter need to be cleaned. also once a rea you need to sprey a mixute of warm water and amonia to clean the coils.

Master control knob

I am not sure which knob it is. but I believe these are the part numbers for the knobs on your machine.

CRC111404290011, CRC111404290019, 111404290019, 111404290011, 111404290023

Check this link. It shows a thermostat control knob in stock.
