Well its possible that your Super NES is starting to die or it might be the gamepacks so clean them out with qutips and rubbing alcohal if that doesn't work the chances are that your console is having an internal problem.

If all of your games are doing the same thing, then my guess is that it's the console. Mine started doing the same thing a couple months ago. If you find out how to fix yours, send me a message @ whitewolfbumblebee3@hotmail.com

Hi i just got a fc twin and i am trying to get a nes mario/ duckhunt game to go in and i cant figure it out.. i have other games but they wont go in eaither

The front slot is made for NES games such as mario/duckhunt, and the back slot is made for SNES games. Make sure you put them in the right direction as well.

Good Luck,
Rodrick

Well I think that there might be an connection problem with inside of the console like the 62 pinconnecter has gone bad or one of the chips is broken you should buy a new one if its that awful.

Well the cartiage reader is bad and needs to be replaced or some of the pieces inside of the super NES console went bad then. You should buy a new one if its that severe and don't use it any more either.

Hello,

Try the game with another TV to see if you will have same problem. If you do not have that problem that means the TV you are using is faulty.

Thanks for contacting Fixya.

Super NES Console: My super Nintendo gets power (red light turns on) ...

Maybe the one that is not turning on to play game is broken then. Ensure that you have a known-good game cartridge inserted before powering on the SNES console. Most older, cartridge-based game consoles don't boot without a game installed.
Does the power light to the left of the controller ports turn on when you turn on the power switch?
If not, check your power adapter and outlet for functionality and good connection.
Check that the reset switch is not stuck. Wiggle it back and forth through its range of motion a few times. If something sticky gets in there it can get jammed in the reset position, which will prevent any game from booting.
You mentioned that there is no image. Are you getting any sound from your games after waiting a few minutes with everything connected and turned on?
If you hear game sounds or music from the SNES, but see no picture and you've already (really and truly) ruled out the cabling and TV, then you might have a bad main board in the console.
If you don't get any video or sound, then it's not booting your game. You can find other recommendations about how to clean game and console connections, but usually inserting and ejecting a game 10-20 times will knock loose or grind off enough gunk to get a game to boot. Try this, and be sure to use the eject lever instead of ripping the game out to avoid console connector damage. If it's still not working, repeat with another game.

The snes console will say its turned on but on the tv screen nothing will come up, is it broken? can it be fixed?

if your using an AV cable, make sure all the connections are tight both at the console and at the TV or switcher. if your using an old-fashioned RF switch, make sure IT is plugged in tight to the console. check to make sure you have a working game, or clean the cartridge (which often causes a blank screen of death)

My Super Nintendo-- Black screen, white lines, buzzing sound

You just need to clean the game. Wipe the gold strip on the bottom of the game with a q-tip dipped in rubbing alcohol.

Picture is only black screen with white lines

Are the console and the TV both tuned to Channel 3 or Both to Channel 4. On the SNES there is a little switch on the bottom of the back labelled 3 on one side and 4 on the other.

SNES doesn't display?

The CIC chip, also known as lock out chip, may have gone bad. Here is a quote from a site I found.

"Every SNES control deck has a regional lockout chip (known as a CIC), as does every original SNES game cartridge. Before a game is loaded, the console will attempt to communicate with the CIC chip on the game cartridge. If the CIC chip doesn't respond or does not correspond with the consoles CIC, the console won't load the game. In most cases, a black screen is displayed."

SNES Game/System incompatibility?

check your connections, try cleaning your snes system with some rubbing alcohol (the party where the game connects to the system), you might have to take it apart to do that...

one way we use to do with the NES was cut a piece of paper out to fit inside the game, make it wet with rubbing alcohol, then push the game in and pull it out a few times (of course if the paper gets stuck you'll have to take it apart to get it out.

SNES's are pretty cheap so u may have to purchase a new one
