I have an HP Deskjet F4180 All-in-One printer. I refill my ink cartridges. I am now having trouble with my printer. I want to print and it will just not print even though it says there is a job in the queue. Then I try to delete the job and it just freezes up on me. I try reinstalling and every time now it says "fatal error". Can I get help new reinstall or do I need to shoot the printer?

I just installed new ink cartridge and light blinking cant print p0ls help F4185 printer

Maybe u used refilled cartridge?

You must be using HP21.
Have you refill your cartridge at all?

If you did, gentely wipe out the cartridge circuit part with Q-tip (with bit of alcohol).
And wipe out the circuit part in the printer where cartridge goes in as well.

And try back.
Sometimes by having some dust or bit of ink make cartridge unreadable.

If you used brand new, do same thing to cartridge circuit part.
Otherwise, there got to be some circuit shot happen in printer.

For your reference, HP f4180 is not a new model and has not cause major problem.
Good practical and durability is good.

If you would like to save money, try refill kit by "ROADINK".
Not only they are easy, but also the printing quality is good.
For your better understanding pls check out my youtube video.
And will see how easy ink refill can be done.

Printer (HP deskjet F4180) showing E and color

This means that there is issue with the Ink Cartridges.
Please remove and re-insert the cartridges.
Check the expiration date on them. Also make sure that you are using genuine HP Cartridges, not refilled or Remanufactured.
If the issue still persists, please replace the ink cartridges.

Hello, after refilling ink cartridges HP21 and

Since HP’s ink technology is different from other manufacturers, they do not recommend to use refilled or remanufactured ink cartridges. Though the cost of genuine HP cartridges are bit expensive than the other cartridges, HP cartridges are manufactured in keeping mind the important factors print quality and customer satisfaction. Using the refilled cartridges may degrade the print quality and may damage the printer’s internal hardware.

I request you to use genuine HP Inkjet cartridges and verify the result.

Printing problems

If you don't use the printer often it is possible that the ink gets dried inside the cartridge, hence you get the print out with low quality or blurred. We suggest you to use original HP cartridges and keep using the cartridges frequently.
Thank you for using Fixya.

HP Deskjet F4180 Color changes and lines in photo printing

HP always recommend that ink cartridge should be replace by original ink.

As this kind of scenario will occur if the ink will just be replace by a refill ink.

I have a HP Deskjet F4180 AIO. It is printing

If you just replaced the ink cartridges, make sure you've removed the plastic tabs that cover where the ink shoots out. If they are old cartridges, make sure that the nozles haven't dried up. Remove the cartridges and dab a cloth (one you don't mind staining) where the ink shoots out, if all the colours show up, it's clear. If you notice very little colour, or none at all, try dampening the cloth and wiping down the cartridges to promote inkflow through the nozles. Hope this helps.
