Question about Kenwood KDC-MP642U
When you bought the radio there should be 2 metal hook looking things inside of the box.
Take the faceplate off the radio
Remove the black trim ring by gently prying with flathead screwdriver to remove.
Stick in the two metal bars on the left and right side and slide in until it clicks.
Pull towards you gently and the whole radio should begin to slid towards you.
You can grasp the radio and pull as soon as you have enough to grip it.
Then see if you have 12 volts when the key is turned forward on the RED and YELLOW wire either with a test light or a meter.
If you have 12 on one, but not the other then you need to refer to car owners manual for the radio fuse.
Or get back with me with the year make and model of car and I can help you with fuse finding.
