Trigger mechanism on my Craftsman electric trimmer model #n-358-799200 is burnt out. I need to order a new trigger. Please assit me. Thank you Carl Durocher

while replacing the trigger you must have pinched the kill switch wire now it is shorted to ground

I have a craftsman weed wacker model 316.79197 It will cut off when i pull the trigger to give gas. what should i check ?


Be sure the exhaust port is not clogged. Be sure the choke lever is in the run position. Also you might try letting it warm up half choked before you "pull the trigger"

let it warm up first and then pull the trigger. if that doesnt work, it might be the diaphram . they are cheap.

The high speed needle valve needs adjusting and it takes a special splined tool to adjust it. I currently am trying to find where I can purchase the tool to adjust the high and low carburator screws.

yes the throttle isnt giving enough gas. there should be two screws side by side somewere near the trigger next to the cable that moves when you pull the trigger. play around withthose screw a few hours youll get it.
