haul it to a dealer and have it recoded . you have one that should have had a battery hooked to it when changing the battery . you have no other option

I need to change my battery on a Ford Galaxy 2007 2L TDCI, I know my radio code. I've been told it may affect the alarm/immobiliser system and I may need my keys recoding by the dealer, is this true? Any...

IT is possible that the battery removal will affect the CPU program which controls the immobiliser as some times the power surge on reconnection causes this. Useing a scanner to reset the CPU program should fix the problems

I have a 2003 mirage I'm trying to recode it for a new remote the alarm is factory now nothing is flashing now I disconected the battery for 30 seconds still nothing?

disconnecting the battery some times corrupts the CPU program and seldom achieves much . Use a code reader to reset the CPU and the alarm

My security light came on and will not let me start my car. How do you bypass it to start the car?

you CANNOT bypass the anti theft device(whats the point of fitting it if you could)buy new remotes/change batteries in old remotes/get keys recoded/reset alarm other words NO keys NO car.

First: alarm went off on its own.(mazda 6 2003). Now when locking and unlocking car sometimes indicators flash and sometimes not. Now red immobaliser light is flashing on dash when driving, then stops...

there is often a small back up battery in the immobiliser unit itself, if you can locate this unit and replace the battery with the ignition on / engine running, then it should not need recoding and work fine after that. The other thing that could be wrong is the key battery (if the fob has one) or the transponder chip in the key head. If the key signal is low the immobiliser lamp will light during driving, but this does not explain the alarm going off. That is more likely either a poor vehicle battery, alarm / immobiliser back up battery, or another electrical fault such as water leakage into a tail-light or even the alarm unit itself when it rains. A lot of alarms are voltage sensing and when the vehicle is parked they will alarm if the battery voltage changes for any reason, though not during driving so the battery in the immob is my first choice to look at.

Rechargable Stinger new bulb is dim orange

Could possibly be a bad switch, I would also get that battery tested out also. If you still have a receipt it should be covered under warranty. If not try sending it in anyway. Limited lifetime warranty does not include bulb, or batteries but, anything else on that Stinger should have a lifetime warranty. Of course that excludes abuse. Check out the website and go to FAQ for a nearest Authorized Service Center or send it directly to Streamlight. Address also listed on the website. Hope that helps ;)
