That is called a BSOD or Blue Screen Of Death. Usually the problem is a one time thng. So you just reboot. O a laptop either hit ctrl-alt-delete or hold the power button down.
Most of these errors are caused by memory conflicts. One program may not let go of the memory and another wants it and the result is a BSOD. Most of the time all you can do is thing nasty thoughts about the operating system and reboot. You can check for new and updated drivers or patches. Run your windows update as well as check the Acer support page for your laptop to see if they have relased any patches.
Very very rarely the problem is an early indication of bad ram. If is starts doing this more and more then you may want to get that checked. Usually its just think nasty thoughts and reboot.
