My ssrxpe60 ingersoll rand compressor is giving a high air pressure alarm and shuts down

I may be missing something here but typically a SSR is a rotary screw machine.XPE 60 is the model. It probably has a controller of some type for this person to know its shutting down on high air pressure alarm. So as the previous person kindly said don't give advise on something you know nothing about before you get some one hurt or killed!!!!
To answer the question. You may have a pressure transducer bad but most likely you have a minimum pressure check valve stuck in the closed position. When the compressor starts air pressure in the separator tank builds. At approximately 65 Psi the MPCV opens and allows air to the after cooler and out into the system. If the MPCV doesn't open the air pressure in the separator tank becomes to high. You then get the high pressure alarm and the unit shuts down.
Make sure the air pressure is zero, electrical disconnected and discharge line isolated from system. Once done you should be able to unscrew the aluminum cap on the check valve. Be extra careful due to spring tension. It should loosen as the cap is removed. If the parts inside are very corroded or you are unable to remove the cap you may have to replace the complete valve. If able to disassemble clean and purchase a rebuild kit for your MPCV if available.

Does not shut off and the safety valve went off

Your problem dependents on when the safety valve is opening. If the safety valve is opening before the tank reaches its rated high pressure level, usually 130 to 150 psi, the spring in the valve is weak or broken; replace the safety valve. If the tank pressure is going over the rated high pressure level, the pressure switch isn't turning the motor off when it should; replace the pressure swtich.

Compressor keeps running until relief valve opens i have replaced the idle control valve

If the spring in the relief valve is weak or broken it will let air out well before your tanks get up to pressure. You can test it by putting pressure on the end of the valve to hold it closed to see if the tank pressure gets high enough to switch the control valve open and idle the motor down. Watch the tank pressure so you don't exceed its safe level. They're relatively inexpensive so you can also just replace it to see if it fixes your problem.

All the Sevylor tubes have a valve that comes apart in to two pieces, remove the top and you can fill remove the hole thing releases the air. You need a 12 volts high volume low pressure pump with connectors, 20 bucks in Overtons. Fill it till it is stiff, put it in the water let the air cool down inside then hand fill it with the connector and human breath to stiff it up again.

My pssure washer the pump will not kick on so i have very low ater pressure

If you take the valve body on the pump apart very carefully you may found a broken return spring or a blown out rubber o-ring if the engine runs but the pump doesnt pump high pressure check your pressure relief valve sounds like its stuck open.

Power Washer has no pressure, any ideas

1. If you have an inlet chemical injection valve make sure that the hose is intact and that the valve is closed.
2. Purge all air from the line by holding the nozzle actuation lever open until all air has been purged. When you connect the water supply hose turn it on before connecting the high pressure hose and let the unit self purge to the pump outlet high pressure hose fitting. Then connect the high pressure hose.
3. You could have a stuck spring and ball inside the high pressure head of the pump. You can tip the unit on its' side and add a substantial amount of WD-40 to the water supply hose fitting in an attempt to free the springs and balls.
4. Try BRIEFLY running the unit without the hose connected to see if there is high pressure water ejected from the high pressure fitting.
5. Inlet water screen at hose connection is clogged (hose screen and rubber) Check screen for debris.
6. The water strainer is clogged. (Almost looks like an LPG regulator just after but in line of the supply hose connection to the pump)

Order of troubleshooting

1, 2, 5, 6, 4, then 3.

Thanks for using FixYa!

# 6 cyl intake valve stuck runs fine at high speed rough at idle and when comming to a stop eng has 110,000 miles would you advise a valve job

There is something you might try. On some engines you can change a valve spring by moving the cylinder to the top of the stroke. Some people use an air adapter and put pressure in the bad cylinder. This keeps the valve from falling. Others just use vise grips and switch stuff without pressure. There is also a possibility of pulling a lifter through an opening in the head or removing the intake manifold.

When you say the valve is stuck, it can mean the spring is broke or too weak to return the valve to its seat. You would also get a popping noise through the intake from the open valve. If the lifter is collapsed, then the valve would not open because the lifter is too soft from lack of oil to push the valve open.

A valve job would fix your problem, but you are working on 7 additional cylinders. You may be able to fix the one cylinder using my info.

Karcher G3050OH Pressure Washer Spill / Unloader Valve (Bypass)

You should put 'locktite' on the male thread and screw it in all the way and lock it there. That is how it works ,the spring keeps the valve at the bottom closed during high pressure operation. When the gun is released the part with the o-ring is forced down resulting in the valve opening and then the pressure is by-passed.Those dont normally give trouble. Look for a blocked nozzle or a restriction somewhere in your high pressure hose.
