Question about Computers & Internet
I would highly recommend removing any Norton product on the laptop and installing something that will actually work. Norton is a major resource hog and it's firewall alone can cause obscure problems. To do so you can either google Norton Removal Tool, or go to this website;
Once norton has been completely removed from the system, you have several options as far as antivirus and firewall go. I personally use Avast Antivirus(freeware) on all of my machines and any of my clients PCs. As far as a firewall goes, the windows firewall works fine, but ZoneAlarm is an exceptional free firewall program. For antimalware, I use spybot search and destroy, lavasoft adaware 2007, and superantispyware.
