Question about Sony Playstation 3 (PS3) Console
I think you may be holding the power button down for too long. Instead of holding it down for 10 seconds only hold it down until you hear a second beep (it will beep once as soon as you press it). The console should stay on after the second beep and the display should initialise.
Try this method with both HDMI and AV lead (red white and yellow lead)
