Question about RCA RT2600 System

1 Answer

RT2600 Issue I have an issue where the system is only detecting the front speakers. However, when I set the test mode, all speakers are working. The system runs on DVD/COAX. There have been times in the past where this has happened and I was able to correct the problem by toggling through the DSP settings. Any ideas?

A lot of older receivers only decode 2.1 audio through digital inputs you need a DVDplayer that has 5.1 analoge outputs that hook into the six channel RCA audio Jacks labled

    Center

    Sub

    FR

    FL

    RR

    RL

Blu-ray and HDDVDP's usually have these outputs.

FRONT SPEAKERS IN MY 1998 PLYMOUTH VOYEGER IS NOT WORKING

Both sides or just one?

When speakers go out on both sides at the same time, then usually the issue is with the stereo head unit. If it's wiring is fine, and it's fader setting is set to the front, yet you have no sound, then try this quick test to illuminate a speaker issue possibility:

Using a 1.5 volt battery AA or AAA size is fine. Just briefly connect the battery to the two speaker wires leading to the speaker you wish to test. You need to view the speaker and make sure it is moving in or out. If it operates, then your speaker is working and you can concentrate on your head unit issue.

RCA RT2600 sound problems

You should first try unplugging it for 30 minutes and that should reset it and has fixed the problem on other ones before.

Also, do the speakers hum at all or is it dead silence?

Thank you for further comments to my question.

Have a Good Day.

I am getting no sound from my speakers, but im getting video. i have all the outputs and inputs in the right places. what are some possible problems?

Operator error. Mis-set switch somewhere Use a medium or low volume level until you find it.

Have you followed the manual used the Test Tones to set it up? How did it sound at that time?

Have you and evaluated every indicator on the front to understand what they mean in the context of source selection?

Register and download the manual for free at retrevo.com

See page 23.

No audio.

Make sure the speakers are connected.

Check the input connections.

Check the power cord connections.

Make sure the MUTE signal on the front panel is off.

Make sure the digital setting (optical, coaxial or analog) is correct.
Check that the headphone is not inserted.

Samsung HT Z320 sub and center speakers dont work

Set the system to the FM receiver/ Tuner Option. Select the 'mode" button on the remote control. Set the system to the Dolby PL II option. This will engage all the speakers. I had the same issue and this fixed the problem!
