Question about Sony DVP-NS57P
Thanks for using FixYa. It seems that the lens is unable to read discs and/or the motor that is not spinning the disc. To start with try running a lens cleaning disc, if that does not work then you have to open the unit and clean the lens with a Q-tip dipped in alcohol. If still the issue is not resolved then the lens should be replaced however, replacing a lens will cost you around $75 and a new one will cost you around $50. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Are you trying to play a burn disc for the first time? Have you tried opening the disc tray and blow inside there a few times really hard or use a can of compressed air and blow in there? You can also try and remote the cover and cleaning the laser lens eye with rubbing alcohol and a cotton swab.
