I would appreciate very much to get help to have a HP Photosmart printer model C5100 in order tooperate. I saw on the screen that it appears that the ink system would be the cause of this, because I cannot close the printer. Could you help me please?

Base from the description of your problem what we can do here first is to remove and the cartridges for 5 minutes then put it back in and restart the printer, can you please also provide us the exact error message that you have there.

Which C5150 do you mean?

If you have an HP Photosmart C5150 all-in-one, it will work with Windows 10. HP has the full-featured (drivers and the HP Photosmart Suite) and diagnostic software here: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-photosmart-c5100-all-in-one-printer-series/1153538/model/1153544 .

If you have an OkiData C5150, the available drivers for that support Windows 7 (32 or 64 bit) and older versions of Windows. The compatibility tricks that let older drivers work may not work with Windows 10. (Microsoft now requires signed drivers and the available x64 driver from Oki may not meet the requirements.)

Tried to fix a paper jam and now I get this code C2FE0100 and the printer won't print. Unplugged it and still nothing

I just replaced the cartriges in my photosmart C6180 after it was in storage for months. The error I get is 0xc18a0408 which is an ink system failure. How do I fix this so that I can print again?

go to this link and read the informationed about ink cartridge . after a while the ink dries up and needs to be replaced, as well the printhead may need attention (possible replacement)

Can't get any of the 4 printers to print.


Go to "control panel" select "printers and faxes". Right clicking on the printer that you are using will allow you to select it as 'default printer', 'delete printer', 'rename printer', etc. If the printer you are using is there and is not check marked, select as default. Check to see if it now works. (you may have to restart computer) If it already is the default , delete printer. If you feel the software is ok and want to try to reinstall, you must first turn off the printer and remove the usb cable. The software will tell you when it is ok to plug your printer into the computer. If you do it to soon, Vista will try to assign its own driver. Which may be you original problem. Isn't vista fun?
