Question about Sony PlayStation 2 (PS2) Console
This is a typical display problem for the PS2. It is usually caused by interference in the signal but can sometimes be caused by the graphics processing chip becoming faulty or something nice and easy. Sometimes it can be a simple TV setting.
First try setting progrssive scan on the console, this may or may not work.
The second thing I would try is getting hold of another TV cable and see if that solves the problem. If it does not then you are probably looking at a more serious problem, one which probably means your PS2 is in need of replacement.
Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa
