Question about Kenmore 24 in. 15932 Built-in Dishwasher

Open Question

I have a kenmore 15951793 it refuses to drain. I've metered the drain line into the motor and it is there but it will attempt to run but seems to trip a thermal breaker. the motor doesn't turn at all but the motor shaft is free, so I'm assuming bad coil. Any thoughts??

SOURCE: Kenmore Ultra Wash Dishwasher does not drain

Some Kenmore DW have a check valve attached to the sump that may have a blockage. Remove toe panel, look for a long, white, plastic fitting attached the front, right side of the sump. Remove the drain hose from the valve. Unscrew the valve from the sump and inspect for debris inside the valve.

I have a kenmore elite HE3 washer. I was getting the sud error and then eventually F02. I cleaned out all the drain lines and pump filter trap and this did not help. I've now replaced the pump

I endevor to purchase a new unit. I've had the same electrical issue with the "F" variable coming up for EACH cycle. I've pressed the Pause/Cancel button and attempted to resume the cycle. While that did work, again, the "F" would come up and the cycle disrupted. I think I will end up paying quite a bit to have it serviced. My washer is 7 years old and I've had it serviced twice to date. I intend on purchasing new in the New Year, a Samsung or LG.

Hello all I have been getting the F21 error code (seems to be a popular error) I cleand the drain on the pump as I was cleaning debris out i noticed the motor impellar was cracked so I replaced it. ...

My WAG would be yes, something is still in the drain line. Especially since enough debris has been through it to crack your impellar.

Have you tried running a guitar string up to see if you can dislodge any blocks.

Although you have cleaned out the drain pump, you still may have a clog in the drain line somewhere, or you have a pump that has failed. A noteable area that gets clogged often with small articles of clothing (such as wash cloths, socks, underwear, etc.), is the drain line that runs from the bottom of the wash tub to the inlet side of the drain pump. If you have checked this, the pump clean out reservoir, and all remaining drain lines after the pump, you more than likely have a defective pump. It doesn't take much to damage them, and just because you can hear it running, does not necessarily mean it is working properly. Often, the impeller blades are damaged, impeller shaft becomes stripped, or pump motor windings are worn. The best solution the manufacturer offers is to replace the drain pump. carries the part. Just type in your complete model number and the drain pump will be located under the "Pump and Motor" heading as item 10 (I believe). The pump is sold as a complete assembly which includes the pump housing and the motor. If you need instructions on how to replace the pump, just click on this link:

If you still don't believe me and wish to doublecheck your efforts before purchasing any replacement parts, the next link explains the "F02" error and how to attempt to correct it:

I hope this information is helpful to you. Let me know if you require additional assistance.
