No sound with Asus Hi Definition Audio Driver. Once removed and Realtek new driver in place, plays only at right side. Disabled the Microsoft USB Driver for Hi Def... No sound at all.

I am having the same problem right now too

It's worked fine for like a year, then all of a sudden, one speaker stops working.

At first I thought it was the wires cause my dog chewed on them a bit, so I re-wired new speaker wires. Still the same thing, so I tested my headphones out, same thing.

I unistalled the drivers, and now everytime I try to reinstall them, it won't let me install them. Just says failed to installed. I reset a few times, and tried but every time fails.

Im debating now weither to go out and buy a sound card or just replace the motherboard, because their may be something wrong with the board that will only get worse.

Please expand "audio problem" to a question giving symptoms etc.

I hope you don't tell your mechanic "car problem" when taking it in for repairs! LOL

P5k-e front pannel audio not working

Make sure you check that the front audio cable is connected properly on your motherboard. You can see how it's supposed to be hooked up and where it is located on page 2-32 in either of the manuals I have linked up for you below. And if you haven't already make sure you have the correct audio driver installed.

No audio in asus p5k se

click start right click on computer select properties then device manager scroll to sound and video game controllers if you see a yellow question/exclamation mark or a red X the driver will need to

click start control panel hardware and sound manage audio devices right click on your speaker select configure speakers

right click on the speaker icon in the bottom taskbar you will see an array of options select playback devices make sure it has a green tick and the correct speakers are selected

be updated if you computer came with a motherboard disk the drivers could be on it although once speakers are connected widows 7 should automatically update the drivers

click start control panel hardware and sound manage audio devices playback you might have to set a default go for via high definition audio then right click on speaker

you might have to configure them then select properties you will see tabs general level in this tab make sure your settings are loud enough also enhancements and advanced from the drop down

list in the advanced tab select dvd quality or another then apply
hope this helps you W7

Asus p5kc doesnt run 100% in Windows 7. I installed windows 7 but sound and network adapter doesnt work. I think windows 7 native driver didn't work. Can someone help me?

A lot of drivers will not work with Windows 7, at least for now. I would go to the Asus website and download the XP, Vista and 2000 or 2003 drivers for the sound and network cards you are trying to get to work. Try each one out. You may get one to work with Windows 7, but since Windows 7 is still BETA, I wouldn't hold my breathe.
