Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. From what you have described the issue seems to be with the door switch that has gone bad and should be replaced as everything else is working fine so don’t think its fuse or anything else that has gone bad. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved else post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

It sounds like you may have a shorted cook relay on the control circuit board which can be repaired simply and inexpensively.

2. You waited to long (open and close door to wake it up).
3. Controller is confused (pull plug for a minute or two to reset).
4. Defective interlock switches.

Turntable turns when door opened

This is usually caused by a defective door switch, or it may be out of aligment. Since there are a few of them a digital meter is required to troubleshoot the problem area. If you have the equipment I well describe how to test them.

F3 on a GE / Hotpoint microwave means you have a shorted membrane keypad.

On this model, the membrane keypad is not available as a separate part, so you would have to order the control panel frame assembly which comes with a new keypad.

In this case, you simply move your circuit board into the new frame. That is a simple do-it-yourself job.

It is part number WB07X10977 and you can get it here for $56.18 (compared to $93.00 from GE!).

You can find links to helpful exploded view diagrams and part ordering help here. I'd recommend that your bookmark this link to your favorites.

At our Web site, we have a video available showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

Then you unplug the keypad (as per the photo below) and move the circuit board into your frame.

Some connectors on the relays may have a lock as shown below:

Take the vent off of the top of convection oven, there will be two screws, then inside center front, you will find a metal box open both ends the light bulb is in there. The light you will need is a holegen 120 Volt 20 Watt they can be found at home depot. Hope this helped you

GE Profile Spacemaker Microwave

Absolutely. That's why they make shop bulbs to use in one's portable garage work light and garage door opener.

Slamming the door of a microwave is never good idea!

Another factor is touching the new bulb with your bare skin, as the oils will shorten the bulb life.

We're happy to help you and we'd appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.
