SOURCE: I have a hobart dishmachine

Which tank is loosing water?
Number 1. Make sure all curtains inside are in place.Curtains help keep the water in the proper tank. For example, curtains are missing between prewash tank and wash tank, the wash tank water could be significantly splashing into prewash tank and out the p.w. tank overflow. Are you ruling out the drain because you replaced o-rings? Look at the floor drain as machine is running. Do you see a large flow of water going down drain? There is a drain heigth adjustment on the drain lift. Mabe the drain stopper is not dropping far enough.

SOURCE: dishmachine won't fill

Your problem is as straightforward as your observation, the unit is not getting enough water flow.

First, if your DW water is hooked up with a braided stainless hose, there is usually a screen in the end of it, (check both ends). It gets clogged with debris and chokes off the water. Make sure the line is not kinked.

If that doesn't work, you are likely having trouble with your fill valve. It is under the front kick panel. It has a large castle like upper cap. It is common for debris in the water to make this valve malfunction. It isn't too difficult to open up without removing. Just watch how it is assembled. If you pay attention, it's easy. If you have a booster, the hoses are very brittle with age.

And otherwise, the fill valve may be bad. REMEMBER, verify your supply water flow where it connects to the machine first. Don't assume. You could have a pressure regulator or a line strainer that is part of your supply line. They do fail. But that's a plumber's fix, not a technician.

SOURCE: hobart am14 water runs through it all the time

I asume you are referring to water running from the rinse arms all the time.
You will need to check the fill/rinse solenoid. It may have debris holding it open, or is worn out. For the correct parts, have your machine ML number and look on in the parts section. Use the ML to get your specific drawings and part numbers. Call 1-800-444-4764 to reach the nearest Hobart officeand ask for parts. There are quite a few variations of solenoids throughout the AM14 build span, but all have a repair kit if the body is not worn. Check the rubber end of the piston for wear. It comes in the kit.
