SOURCE: i have a toro lx500

Check the belt on top of the mower deck. Make sure the belt didn't slip off or break.

SOURCE: Replace the cable traction (part #105-1844)

I just replaced mine and it was a little difficult and took me roughly an hour to do. First, download the walk behind power mover drive systems at https://homeownersolutions.toro.com/portal/server.pt?space=CommunityPage&cached=true&parentname=CommunityPage&parentid=1&in_hi_userid=30166&control=SetCommunity&CommunityID=225&PageID=30031#manualsResultPage

While they do not specifically address replacing the cable, you can find out how they do it when replacing the drive belt. As I said, it took me about an hour and I just about had to remove the transmission and rear drive assembly in order to unhook the original cable. Good luck!

You could also have an overused spring on the carb the connects to the govenor arm. Take the spring off and see how worn out it is.

I have a Huskee lawn tractor and as I was mowing the drive pedal stopped working. A spring broke and was still hanging so I know where one end a new spring will attach, but I do not know where the other...

Go to a website that sells parts for huskee you may have to go to mtd.com and find parts diagram for the deck, hopefully you can find your spring location.

What is the drive belt adjustment 11.5 hp ride on mower

Hello,

The drive belt is tensioned by a spring on the clutch pedal. If you can give me the model of mower you are working on, I can help you find the spring or the variable speed pully.

Thanks, Matt

I have tension spring that is disconected inside a toro 824 snowb

That spring will attach itself to just about anything available. So put some hand tension on the idler pulley of the tensioner, and make an arc with the end of the spring, and there should a tab or bolt or post that the spring could attach to.
