SOURCE: Samsung 40inch LCD tv doesn't turn on for some

To all who are having power supply issues: Samsung is now acknowledging a problem with the faulty capacitors. I called 1 800 726-7864 and they said they would repair certain out-of-warranty TVs if the problem is related to the capacitors. I just called and they are sending a service rep out to diagnose the problem

SOURCE: i have a samsung model LNT4066fx ,series S303 its

The slow turn-on is normally a sign of a failing power supply and certain conditions could cause noise in the digital circuits of the set. The clicking is likely a relay that is controlled by PS circuits that are detecting a fault condition and repeatedly disconnecting the AC. The late turn-on will eventually turn into no power on at all.

You may have dying power supply due to bad DC filter caps, look for caps with leaking/bulging tops, cold solder joints, etc.

Ageing capacitors usually causes this sort of problem. They change value going low capacity etc. A replacement flourecent display board may likely fix it as the display is taking too long to come on.

I have a Samsung SP-S4223 42in. EDTV.

This is called tiling and this happends because of a weak signal from whatever device you have hooked to it weather it be cable or a sat dish. Try checking and makie sure you have good signal to this. If this matter gets wrose then you would need a repairman. Thanks
