Question about Kodak EasyShare CX6330 Digital Camera

1 Answer

I tried using a 4GB SDHC card on my Kodak Easyshare CX6330 and it went into a state of perpetual formatting. The card now does not work on any reader i have. Is there a way i can reset the card or manually format it for the camera?

The CX6330 is designed to work with SD and MMC cards. It will not work with SDHC cards. You need to use SD cards 2GB and smaller.

You cannot use the card on the camera. If you have a card reader or other device compatible with SDHC cards, you should be able to format the card there.

What model Kodak camera? Are you sure you have an SD card, 2GB or smaller? Many Kodak models won't work with higher-capacity SDHC cards.

Difficulty formatting new memory card for a Kodak Easy Share DX7440

The DX7440 works with MMC and SD cards, which max out at 2GB. While your 4GB SDHC card fits into the slot, it is electronically incompatible and will not work with this camera. You need to stay with SD cards, 2GB and smaller.

The CX6330 works with MMC and SD cards. If your new memory card is larger than 2GB then it's actually an SDHC card and will not work in the CX6330.

Need to format my 4GB sdhc memory card to my Kodak easyshare cx7430....any ideas

I've tried a 4GB memory card in my Kodak CX7430 camera and it doesn't work. I've been able to use any size up to 2GB so I'd suggest going to a 2GB card.

How can you format a SD 4gb card for the Kodak EasyShare Z612 Digi Camera

You can't. The Z612 uses SD cards. Your 4GB card is actually an SDHC (Secure Digital High Capacity) card and is incompatible with SD devices.

For SD cards (2GB and smaller), you'll find the Format operation in the Setup menu. Press the Menu button, then use up/down to select the wrench, then press OK.

The recommended card for your camera are those SDHC type or 2GB-16 GB SDHC card, try to use at least 2 SDHC card if this failed it means the memory card reader of your camera is already defective. Just in case this will happen try to contact Kodak at 1 800 235 6325 ext 12.
