You are the best!!! I am not too camera savvy and didn't even know you could lock a disk. Thanks. You saved me.

Check to see if the locking slide on the side has been accidentally pushed: one of my new ones was like this.

Have you tried to format it with the camera? It may need formatting in order to unlock it.

Memory Stick Duo 512MB. Where are no pictures on the card, but it says that "were is no space" when I put it in the camera. What should I do?

First make sure the card is not locked. Do this by checking on the side of the card that the lock notch is not in the locked position. If it is not locked then you should put the card in your computer and reformat it. If this isn't successful then its time to go get a new card. You can get a new one for under $20.

When i insert sandisk 2gb SD memory card(new one) to my phone,it is displaying that the memory card is password protected..how to unlock it?

Are you sure its asking for a password or is it saying the card is locked. I think the card is locked, look at the card closely either on the front or the back of it there will be a small black square that can be moved either up or down or left or right. Slide that square over to unlock the disk and you should be able to use it now.

I hope this helps you out and if it does please leave me some positive feedback.

I have a SanDisk SDHC Card class 4 4 gb and it won't work in my Canon Power shot SD630, I get a memory error that says card is locked, however card is not locked, what camera canI use this card in?

The SD630 works with MMC and SD cards, 2GB or smaller. It does not work with higher-capacity SDHC cards.

Your SDHC card can be used in any camera that accepts SDHC cards.

I just bought a new sd 2mb sandisk card but computer won't detect it

Are you using a Memory Card adapter? Or are you using the SD slots that are built into your computer?
Go to the 'Start' menu and choose "My Computer"

The card should be there, if not, then make sure that the little 'lock' button isn't set to lock.

A lot of times when you insert the card, it will switch the position from unlocked to locked.

Good luck

My Sandisk 2GB micro SD card will not re-format and hence remove corrupted files using the Windows format tool. Plus files will not delete at all, and just reappear!!! Is the card gone for good?

To be honest, once you're getting this kind of problem, the card can no longer use. You need to buy a new card.

However, I would suggest to try different things first:

1. If you're trying to reformat the card using the SD adapter or card reader, you may want to try to use different adapter or different card reader.

2. You may try different computer as well.

If the same problem occur, then there's no other option but to buy a new one.

Thank you and good luck!

My sandisk 512mb card says card locked when I put it in my optio camera. How do I unlock my card?

There is typically a small switch in the corner of the card. You will see a lock icon on the card.

Slide the switch from the lock position and you will be good to go.

Memory card locked

On your SD card, there is a small tab near the top (similar to floppy a disks), just switch that the other way it should fix that lock error.

you could try downloading directly from the camera, using the appropriate USB lead, if the camera can see it it should be able to download via cable.
