Question about Televison & Video

1 Answer

Pioneer Elite Projection PRO-620

I cannot reassign the video in on Video Input 3 on the menu.  It keeps showing RGB on the screen although Input 3 does not even have RGB in. I cannot find this on the onscreen menu and do not have the manual.
Thanks You

My picture only shows black and white on my pioneer elite once i unpluhgged it fron the cable box. the box isn't broken and the color on the tv works on the menu if i disconnect the cable

Check the color level for that input. While monitoring the cable box go to the video part of the setup menu. Make sure the chroma or color is up to its normal setting.

Some TV sets have independent video settings for each input. This way each input can be separately set up.

There is a possibility something went defective thus causing the chroma processing to not work, but this rare. The menus showing in color are from a different built in circuit than the one that decoded and processes the program video.

I have a WT46805 and the color is fine for standard video input, but the when same video content is sent in through the HD input, the resolution is fantastic but the color is almost a monochromatic green. ...

While you are in the HD input look in the TV's menu, I think it is in video settings for a setting for RGB or Y, Pr, Pb. If it is set to RGB you will get that green picture. If you are not in the HD input that setting will not show up in the menu.

Pioneer Elite Pro 620 HD TV on several occasions the screen has gone black but sound continues and the power green libht remains on. After shutting down for 10-15 minutes picture comes back.

Pioneer Elite Pro rear projection 620HD - Picture is still there but brightness and "white" have faded over years allowing for mediocre viewing when room is dark only. During the daylight picture is visible if viewed straight on and within 15 feet from set. Any suggestions?

My menu screen works but the picture screen does not,and still have sound. does anyone know what could be wrong with my rear projection telivision?

If you have video for the menu, then probably you aren't on the correct selection for your video source. What are you trying to watch and how is it connected to your television? S-Video, Composite (Y with separate RW audio) or Component (RGB).

Note: DO NOT connect standard VIDEO or S-VIDEO to Input 2 when using Y-CbCr (Component) input.

See pages 11-13 of your manual for a diagram.

Connection problem

You can connect via a coax cable from the sat. box to VHF input of your TV and tune on ch 3 or 4 or connect via a RGB cable to component input of your TV or a regular Audio/Video composite cable will connect sat. receiver to your TV use yellow color for video and red&white for stereo Audio then choos the connected input on the menue and watch sat.

Is the RGB computer-like jack at the rear of the Pioneer PRO-520HD projection TV a digital input like a DVI input? I'm trying to use the TV for BluRay discs. Chris Fox

The RGB input is like a computer monitor input, and may handle HD. I would recommend using component video instead for ease of use, but also most TVs will only handle a couple resolutions, but your component jack should handle 480i, 480p, 720p, and 1080i giving you flexabilty and a comprable picture.
