Question about Kenmore 64602 Electric Dryer
If the timer goes through the cycle as it should, but the motor stays on, that looks more like a contact in wiring rather than a faulty electronic control.
The fault can be potentially dangerous, repair is done reading Volts out from control board, Volts at motor, continuity between ends of wiring to see if there is a contact. For safety reason the repair must be done by a technician. The problem is not a common fault.
Call manufacturer at the service number listed on the manual and see what they think about the problem.
