You have to remove the center cap from one of the wheels then remove the metal push nut, this will allow you to slide the wheel and rear axle off, then you have to remove the two screws that hold the motor and gear box in place, then you can take out the motor gearbox assembly, then there two screws to remove the motor from the gearbox, then do them in the opposite order to put it back together

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: no power to back wheels

Sometimes I have used meters on these toys and received false readings due to numerous tabs in the switches.
As long as the wires are secure, I would replace the high/low switch and the reverse switch.
You can get the parts here http://www.shopjandl.com/
I get all my Peg perego parts from them and they seem to know what they are talking about if you need any help.

SOURCE: Where can I find rubber tires

I was wondering the same thing, can't find any rubber replacements and came up with a solution- use a rubberized undercoating for automobiles. It sprays on thick and provides more grip than the plastic wheels do.

There is more info on modifications here:

I had the same problem and replaced the shifter which I found at

This fixed all the speeds and now it runs great.
Hope this helps
