Hi

Follow the bellow steps:-

-restarting computer
-turning off printer, waiting 30 seconds (and once several hours), trying again
-cleaning off conact points, reinserting cartridge
-cleaning off contact points, disconnecting printers cable & plus & shutting it off - waiting 1 minute then retrying
-tried inserting new cartridge repeatedly and then seeing if it's recognized
-turning off printer, disconnecting usb cable, & unplugging it then waiting 1 mintue and retrying.

However carefully check whether you have removed all packaging
of the cartridge, including the ink seals on the heads of the cartridges. Also try turning off the printer, rmove all cartridges, then put them back in and restart printer.

Epson Workforce 600 not recognizing black toner

I had the same problem and was told by the store that sold it to me that some printer manufacturers do this on purpose as they make their most money on the ink they sell not the printer. I got rid of mine and purchased an ink jet black only printer as this is all I need anyway. A lot cheaper to use.

"The yellow 'Alarm' light will not go off after changing cartridges.

Try removing and reinserting the cart. Or try a new cart. It sounds like it's not recognizing that a new cart has been inserted. It could be a faulty/sticky switch where the cart is detected.

Epson Printers are sensitive in terms of Ink Cartridges.. The latest Epson Printers does not have ink reseter.. Ink reseter are already built-in on the ink cartridges.. The problem on this printer is when you have a cartridge on your printer, let say, 30% of the ink level, even though your ink is new, and you change it without using the right ink replacement method, it will recognize your ink as a 30% ink level. When your ink level drops to 0%, but you have remaining 70% of the ink, it does not recognize it anymore. The chip on the ink cartridge is already registered as an empty cartridge.

Good day!Your cartridge is the problem..even if its new or original if the printer never detected or sense your cartridge's presence..then that error will appear..

Hello ,

Start by opening your ink cover and read the LCD screen; this will alert you as to which ink cartridge is not being recognized; make sure the cartridge that it is telling you is empty has been changed.

If the unit is still not recognizing the cartridge you have changed, follow the steps below.

  1. Unplug the power cord for the printer unit.
  2. Open the ink cartridge cover and remove all ink cartridges.
  3. Close the ink cartridge cover.
  4. Plug the power cord back in.
  5. Reinstall the ink cartridges.

Thank you,

Pat

Are you using Canon brand ink?

Could be dirty contacts in the carrange behind the cartridge. Clean with the eraser on a pencil.
