Probably not. the Xbox 360 has a pretty crappy track record when it comes to original xbox games. IF your game is compatible(you'll have to google it, only a select few are) there isn't even necessarily a guarantee it will work. For example, i have mercenaries 1, and the screen turns completely blue at random times then crashes.
Chances are it's not just those 2 games. It is a problem with your 360 or your power setup. Check the power brick to make sure the light is yellow when the 360 is off and green when the 360 is on. If it is red, you need to reset the brick. Also, the problem may be your 360 is close to overheating. Try not to play it too much at one time.
This sounds like the Infamous Red Ring of Death also known as Rrod. This is basically where your circuitry has just burnt out and has died. You can either take it to a Game Shop to mend it or get a new 360. if you choose the new 360 R.I.P Someones 360
Alright, lets fix this!
Xbox 360 power supply light is orange or yellow. Usually when the Xbox 360 power supply light is orange it's on standby so there is no problem with your Xbox 360 console but the power supply can't supply it with power !
First you have to try unplugging the Xbox 360 power supply from the console & unplugging the power cord from the wall outlet also unplug the Xbox 360 power supply from the power cord, wait for a minute then reconnect it all back , also try it on another wall outlet without any extension cords at all. If it's still doing the same it will be definitely a fault with the Xbox 360 power supply. So, in this case please contact Xbox 360 customer support to fulfill the Xbox 360 power supply.
