Dear jude06,seems your problem is a common one.i do understand that blu ray is new format and its costly but there isnt any dvd player which will play this kind of disk.but then you may try a bluray drive on your pc which is not as costly as a player.hope this might help..

Actually, you can use a Free and all-sided Blu-ray Player which can play Blu-ray/DVD disc, folder or ISO on Windows & Mac.

Leawo Blu-ray player acts like hardware Blu-ray player to play Blu-ray discs, folders and ISO files on PC to enhance your Blu-ray movie experience. As a region free Blu-ray player software program, it could help you easily play back the latest released Blu-ray discs without quality loss. It's also a free DVD player to play back DVD discs/folders, an ISO player to directly play back ISO files, a free video player to play up to 1080P HD videos and a free audio player to play even DTS-5.1 audio in lossless quality. During playback, this professional Blu-ray player software allows you to select/load subtitles and adjust video and audio. It even provides detailed playback navigation to let you fully control media playback.

Just for suggestion. Hope it helps. :)

We bought the Burlesque dvd and our blu-ray player cannot read the disc? The error messages 'cannot operate this disc and cannot play back this disc. This is the first dvd the blu-ray player cannot...

It's something about the Burlesque dvd. I have the same problem with mine when I try and play it on my Sony blue-ray player. It's the only disc I have that it won't play. Disc is a DVD Video disc but it will no't play in the Sony player. It plays fine on other dvd players and my computer, but not on the Sony.

How to play region A blu ray discs on region c Blu ray player. i have bought this player in India but would like to play BD discs got for USA, and the player does not plays such disc.

The Player will not play the Blu-ray discs other than Region C.
This is because all the Blu-ray/DVD Players are designed such way that it will play only the discs that are manufactured and sold in the same country where the Player is manufactured.

You can play the discs that are "Region ALL".

However, you may try copying the content of the Region A/B Blu-ray discs to a Computer then create a video Blu-ray disc to check whether you can play them in the BDPS370.

Blu-ray disc

Hey jude06,

In order to play Blu-Ray discs, you must unfortunately own a Blu-Ray player. Neither HD-DVD players nor Progressive Scan/Upconvert DVD players are capable of playing the discs, and standard DVD players are not able to recognize information on the discs due to how they are constructed.

Please keep in mind that there are always a number of options available to you, should you consider purchasing a Blu-Ray player. While the average asking price with many retailers for stand-alone Blu-Ray players is between $300.00 and $500.00, you can typically obtain an internal Blu-Ray drive for your computer for considerably less. Additionally, the Playstation 3 may also be a viable alternative - the current 40GB model not only plays Blu-Ray discs, but also has the added perk of being a video game console for around the same price as the average stand-alone Blu-Ray player.

Hope this helps you out.

Sincerely,
Aaron
