My MovinCool Classic Plus 26 air condition, is not working properly. The air we get is semi warm and water does not come out of the drain. The blower fan is working and the compressor seems like it's working too. The unit is indoors. Also, the air coming out of the condenser is not hot and strong like it used to be.

Hi,
First thing to try is to remove the unit from where it is mounted. Carry it out and remove the unit from its case. This will require removing quite a few screws. the unit will slide out of the front of the case. wash all of the fin coils with your garden house. Make sure the filter is clean and reinstall. Most of the time problems are due to poor air flow at the evaporator or condenser coils. If this does not solve the problem there are several other things that could be wrong.
Thanks and take care......

Hello,

If the air doesn't seem cool, it is necessary to use a thermometer to check the difference in temperature between the air going into the unit and the air being blown into the room. Ideally, the temperature difference should be more than 15 degrees. For example, if the temperature going into the air conditioner is 80 degrees, the temperature coming out of the unit should be at least 65 degrees or less. If the difference is 15 degrees or more there is probably no cause for concern. If the temperature difference is less than 15 degrees you should check the following: Air damper Check to make sure the air damper is closed. If it's open, it will bring in outside air and reduce the efficiency of the unit. Back cover During the winter season many people cover their air conditioners to protect the unit from the weather. In the spring or summer they will sometimes forget to remove the cover. If your unit has a cover on the outside portion of the air conditioner remove the cover first. Condensing coils The condensing coils will always be on the "warm" side of the air conditioner. That is, on the side that faces outside of the room to be cooled. Air is drawn into the back of the air conditioner on the sides through vent slots and is blown directly out through the condenser coils. If the coils get clogged with lint, dust and dirt the cooling system cannot provide the cooling necessary. To clean the coils it will be necessary to remove the entire cover of the air conditioner or pull it out of the wall to gain access to the coils. They can be cleaned by blowing compressed air at them or by using a soft bristle brush to wipe the dirt off. It is important to also clean any dirt or lint build-up in the bottom of the air conditioner so the condensate water will be picked up by the condensing fan slinger properly.

Take care.

Why is there no condensation?? My portable a/c Technitrend model TN09E has been running for several hous , and there is no condensation. And the temp controll is barely droping. Can you plase help o

The blower fan may be running, but the equipment isn't removing heat from the space. Apparently the compressor is not working. Don't confuse the noises of the blower motor with a running compressor. Check for cool air at the registers. No cool air = no condensation. Cool air, then check your plumbing from the pan under the indoor coil (evaporator). The drain line could be clogged.

Could you please explain the ''dry'' setting on the mode

The 'dry' setting is a feature which allows you to use the air conditioner as a dehumidifier. It works by cooling the radiator enough for it to attract condensation (mosture from the rooms air) which then drains into a tank or an external hose which dries the room. Even when used in cooling mode the unit will dehumidfy too, but because the fan is on it will be less effective. Also when the unit is in cooling mode it stops the compressor (cooling motor) when it reaches the selected rom temperature, however the dry function overides this and is a more effective dehumidifier as it will work in small spaces too. Hope this helps.

My air conditioner is leaking water

The air conditioner have water runs into the plastic container and when the container is full of water the weight will switch off the whole unit until you empty this container.
The tube that deliever the water into this plastic container blocked up with dirt that stop the water runs into the container and overfill the condenser drain pan that water runs all over the floor. Clean this condenser pan outlet and the connecting tube then you will be ok.

Unit continue to run nonstop

possibly two or more problems. drain may be plugged and therefore no water dripping from it. attach a good wet dry shop vac and **** it out. listen for good suction at in door coil when vac is attached outside . feel large insulated line outside . it should be ice cold to touch but not frozen . if it is kinda cool then your low on gas. if its froze you are low on gas or dirty filter ,coil , or blower wheel. .you can measure temp drop between return air in and supply air out at the in door blower . it is usually 18 to 20 dgrees , in at 80, out at 60 so to speak. greater than 2o and you have a restriction like dirty or filter or froze up. less than 15 you are low on gas or inefficient compressor. be sure your fan is in the auto mode , not the on mode or indoor fan will run 24-7.

Can Movincool classic plus 26 AC set the air temperature at below 70 degree F?

aircons normally pull down to approx. 17 degree celcius.and heats to approx 30 degree celcius.  most of the time you need to simply clean the condenser properly and to make sure fans are in good order.
