I've just converted my stove from natural gas to propane and the oven and broiler flame are both to high, how can I lower them?

When converting from natural gas to propane you have to switch the regulator to propane. then on most modern stoves you have to turn the orifice hoods down to adjust for the higher pressure of propane. there are some stoves that you have to purchase a propane conversion kit with different orifices for the burners and oven burners.

Why does my coleman stove regulator leak gas from the hole on the top of the regulator

Its a safety feature of the regulator. The regulator is designed with a pressure release valve. This has happened to me twice: once with a carbon dioxide tank for my kegerator and once on my propane stove. In both cases I left the regulator (designed with a max pressure rating of X psi) attached to a full bottle in the sun. The heat caused the pressure to exceed the limit of the regulator and the release valve popped. A welding supply store may be able to reset/replace the mechanism but in my case I just bought a new regulator for about $15.

Hi,
Have them come back and check the gas pressure... either the tank regulator or the stove regulator are running at too low of a gas pressure... for propane it should be at least 10" WC...

Kenmore gas stove can it be changed to work for propane

Yes, your gas range can be converted to propane. Your owners manual will give you step by step instructions. Since there are many different models, there are different procedures involved to convert to propane. On some models you must change the top burner orifices where other models have adjustable orifices. The oven burner has an adjustable orifice(same with broil burner if there is one). The range regulator must be adjusted to stay open all the time because your propane system has its own regulator.

A customer has a commercial propane gas stove,

Faulty thermostat, can be the only reason if the burners on the top are okay and don't fluctuate. That proves your regulator is fine. You could also check the line somewhere with a pressure gauge, or manometer.

Sounds like they need a new rep. Contact the company's service department. These guys have often come across the problem before, "oh yes, we had a batch of thermostats that had faults about 4 years ago. We didn't do a recall because it wasn't a safety issue". Meanwhile, the rep is only after sales and commission.

Need to fix regulator for coleman stove 5410708

Just where the regulator attaches to the burner there is a small nut that may be loose. If you look closely at this and turn the regulator (stove off and hose detached!) you may see the nut hat turns easily. Tighten it and make sure the regulator does not rotate too freely, but still turns to adjust when attached to the hose or the smaller gas cartridge, if using that. Test carefully after this.
