I have the same problem, I let my monitor always on cause it's not possible to turn it off anymore.
If I would unplug the cable from the power supply, I would not be able to power it on..

I think it's only the power button (on the right with the green led) which is defect cause it became harder and harder to power it on/off with the time.
Any experience how to fix this problem, replace this button ?

Power windows work intermittentley, sometimes wiggling key or turning of and back on makes them work

If they work fine after doing this, it is time for an ignition switch. If you have to play with the window switch. Replace it.. Either way. Take them apart. Bad contacts are the problem. I have fixed to many with a bit of sand paper or some solder. They are already broke, how much more are you going to break them. You just might fix them. Only cost you a bit of time. Or buy the part.

a fuse or circuit has blown, now you have to deside if it worth fixing or replacing, call around what a service call cost, hourly rates, average cost for part, cost just to look at it and troubleshoot the issue

What should it cost to get cruise control fixed

depends on the cause that it is not working. the cruise control switches in the steering wheel send signals to the ECM and theECM sends signals to the cruise control there is a wide range of what it would to fix it. the cheapest and usually the most common failure is the brake pressure switch located on the brake master cylinder. it is the switch that FORD had the recall on to install a new wiring pigtail because the switch would short out and cause a fire. the switch starts to leak brake fluid and shorts out and also will not allow the cruise to work.

Lens error restart camera- the lens is out and wont go back in, everytime i try restarting my camera it says lens error restart camera

Hi, their isnt much you can do yourself and the chance of getting it repaired is slim as knowbody will touch them as the cost of repair costs more than it would to buy another camera.

how ever you can try the following to try and fix it.
when you switch it on pull or push the lense and then switch it off and push the lense in a bit and hopefully this will free it up and get it working,
if pushing and pulling dont work try twisting it clockwise or anti clockwise when you switch it on and then off.

all you can do is try and fix it yourself as you wont find anyone who can fix it as it costs to much to have these fixed.

when you switch it on pull the lense out slightly whilst switching it on if that dont free it up push the lense in when you switch it on doing this should get it working again.

if by some chance it dont then this would mean the lense motor has failed and if this is the case you may as well sell the camera as spares because you wont find anyone who can fix it for you, even if you did find someone the cost to have the work done would cost more than the camera is worth.

let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok

plz rate this solution as i have a whole page of unrated posts, thanks

2005 Chrysler Town & Country. Passenger side window problem.

HAVEK 1005 sounds right on track.... but also try this, usually works well for non functional power windows, specially Caravans.

1. Sit in vehicle, on seat next to problematic window
2. Ignition key is on
3. Door in question is opened (in case you closed it)
4. While door is open, press and hold power window button in desired window travel, keep button pressed !!
5. SLAM hard the door closed with one hand while other hand holds button as per #4.
6. Watch window operate as it should.
7. Repeat 3-6 if necessary, but usually the first try works!

NOW, for the naysayers that says you must replace power window motors etc, at $$$ cost because the above fix does not work, or is not long lasting fix, or less than a "professional fix".... Well then, when the window fails to operate again, apply same fix again at that time.

I have fixed my van this way numerous times (usually once a year), and to all local friends I recommend this fix too, likewise do the same and are happy with the solution.

Audi 80 tdi 1993 ,Lights horn and heater stoped working....not fuses any ideas???

Go to an auto-electrician and he will replace or will fix all these problems. I think they are very simple to be repaired (but not the heater). i have all these problems and i haven't fixed them yet . the heater does't cost much but it cost's it's implementation in the car (it's a 1 or 2 day's work) because the electrician must remve the entire hood and the console). The lights and the horn are in the steering wheel place (the lights maybe are blown and need to be replaced or it's the switch that doesn't work properly like mine because my light switches need to be replaced!)

My left turn signal works sometimes, but not all the time.

Sounds like you have a short in the turn signal switch ( in the steering column). Depending on the different functions of this switch will determine the cost. If you have one that simply works the turn signals, then your looking at about $15. I believe yours should cost around $75 since it's a multifunction type. Installation time is about 20 minutes

My DYSON DC07 upright vacum

the actuator in the switch is defective, you can replace just the switch. There are several places to get just the switch, just google "dyson dc07 parts" for places on where to get the switch.
