Internet Explorer Keeps Cutting Out after about 5 mins of use

The problem started recently cos I downloaded some software to "unlock" my mobile phone. I got half way through the process, experienced lots of problems, so just gave up, and, as far as I'm aware, removed all the dowloads. The day before that I also downloaded AVG anti virus software, and have recently removed and re-installed Active X and updated adobe to the current version. However, my internet use averages about 5 minutes then I get a message saying internet explorer has stopped working, cuts out, and then immediately restarts (very quickly indeed). Has anyone any idea why this happens. Thanks very much for any assistance given.....

If your computer is running kind of sluggish, you can fix it with an easy clean up of your registry. Here's a link to a free scan that works well:
www.your-free-info.com/RegCure
I've used this one and it sped up my computer by quite a bit. Hopefully this helps.

There must been a virus attack on your system. Check whether the problem arises when using Opera or Firefox browsers. Fully scan your system with an updated version of Bitdefender Antivirus

How To Speed Up Http Requests On Internet Explorer, as above

How to speed Up HTTP Requests On Internet Explorer
To comply with current Internet standards, Internet Explorer limits the number of simultaneous downloads to two downloads, plus one queued download. This configuration is a function of the browser. However, as connection speeds increase, and the number of total connections that are allowed to Internet servers increase, the two-connection limit may be restrictive.

Please Note: Changing the maximum number of connections beyond two is a violation of Internet standards; use at your own risk!

To increase the number of simultaneous connections that are allowed, follow these steps:

1. Start the Registry Editor
2. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER Software Microsoft Windows CurrentVersion Internet Settings
3. Select New > DWORD Value from the Edit menu
4. Name the new value MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server
5. Right-click the MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server value and choose Modify
6. Under Base, click the radio button next to Decimal
7. In the Value Data: box enter the number of simultaneous connections you want to set (for example 10 is a good value), and 8. click OK
9. Repeat steps 3 - 7 using the new value MaxConnectionsPerServer
10. Exit the registry editor

Basically, you need to scan your computer using antivirus, and fix the messy registry with software utility. If you use Microsoft Internet Explorer, you may install or Google Chrome browser (www.google.com) because that malicious software took control of your MS Internet Explorer.
Here is the download links (they are trial software but they can really fix the problem; you can uninstall them later)
1. Norton 360 (download and run it):

2. Norton Utility (download and run it):

Windows failed to start. a recent hardware or software change might be the cause.

Uninstall Internet explorer 8 and any .net upgrade which is rescent. Try it now and use internet explorer 7 if it is working ok with downgradeor better goto firefox and download firefox.
Other possibility is RAM has failed, if there are two sticks try booting with one stick in theA slot and other removed, alternate the ram sticks to test. If only one ram stick try a similar ram type pc or laptop for ram test, a friend?

My laptop keeps freezing up when i am on line?

This could be a sign of many things, but possibly a virus.

To make sure you havent contracted a virus. Please download a free program called malwarebytes.

here is a link to do so

http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html?part=dl-10804572&subj=dl&tag=button

once downloaded, install it, and then run the full scan. If it finds anything remove it..

Then you may need to reset internet explorer afterwards.

# Exit all programs, including Internet Explorer
# If you use Windows XP, click Start, and then click Run. Type the following command in the Open box, and then press ENTER:
inetcpl.cpl
# Click the Advanced tab.
# Under Reset Internet Explorer settings, click Reset. Then click Reset again.
# When Internet Explorer finishes resetting the settings, click Close in the Reset Internet Explorer Settings dialog box.
# Start Internet Explorer again.
