Question about Canon DR-1210C Scanner
I would like to transfer my DR-1210c to a new Windows XP computer and am wondering if it is possible to transfer the settings I have created with the Job Registration Tool. I have tried modifying a setting so that I could then search for recently changed file in Windows (searching also system and hidden files), but do not find an obvious data file to try to copy to the new computer.
Any idea how to find this file, and if I find it will it work to copy it to the appropriate folder of the new computer?
There are 2 methods:
1) On the existing PC, start the Job registration tool, click the "Administrators" button (on the bottom of the dialog), then click the "Backup" button in the dialog that appears. This will save a registry file that you can then transfer to the new PC.
2) Use regedit to browse to the
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Canon Electronics Inc.\DR-1210C-JobTool
branch. Save this branch to a file, then transfer it to the new PC.
