I don't know if it's called a filter but, it's more like a round plastic screen that prevents debris from going up into the front filter. I need one of those also. I have not been able to find the schematic fi=or the vacuume or I would know what it's called

There isn't a filter listed in the parts list for where you feel one should be. Your owner manual would tell you if there was.

  • You want to put the cyclone in the plastic bin first and then set the two on the base of the vacuum. Them two steps are important. (see diagram)
  • Line up the front and rear guides and push down to click into place.
  • Make sure you did not loose that little black gasket on the end of the yellow cyclone. If it's not there check the trash or the hole in the vacuum where it sets.

Bionaire humidifier model:bcm7309cm How to clean the air filters?

"You should change your furnace filter once a month in the winter season and your central air filter once a month during summer months.
If you run your heat or air every day and night, have pets, or your home collects a large amount of dust, you may need to change your filter more often during very hot and very cold months.
If you use disposable filters, it's really not worth vacuuming them to reuse them. They are inexpensive enough that you should replace them instead.
Disposable filters don't work as well after only being vacuumed and they are usually in a cardboard frame and therefore don't wash well.

Before you take out the filter, however, vacuum the outside and around the filter encasement. After you remove the filter, you should vacuum behind it, too, to catch any stray dust and particles.
Replace disposable filters with new ones."

How to clean the filter on a central vacumm?

Filters are hand washed/rinsed, then allowed to thoroughly dry. It's highly recommended to have 2 filters so one is available while the other is drying.

Hi There,

I think I know exactly what the problem is with your Dyson. I'd be happy to try and walk you through it, but just want to make sure that you still need help, or if you've already fixed the problem.

How to change filters on a Kenmore canister vacuum

Depending on age there may be one or two filters. A Hepa filter is an exhaust filter generally at the back end of the vac, sometimes at the back top.
For this style filter there will be a small grill with a release tab on it, simply pull the finger tab and the grill should pop off revealing the filter.
There is normally a bag chamber filter behind the dust bag as well. Open the bag chamber below the tool storage and remove the bag. There will be a soft filter sitting behind the bag on most models. If it is a sponge type it can be washed and reinstalled when dry, but if fabric it is disposable.Make sure you have replacement filters in hand before changing as some filters simply pop into a reusable frame, often a red frame. If the material slides out the frame is generally reusable, if glued in , it is likely disposable.
USE only the specified filter and chose the best quality multi ply filter bags for maximum vac performance and efficiency
