Question about Alpine CDE-9852 CD Player

1 Answer

I bought a CDE-9852 faceplace (bought used on ebay) to replace my damaged faceplate, thinking (foolishly) the replacement faceplate would automatically communicate with the original system . The original faceplate still works but the clear plastic covering is cracked. The replacement faceplate will play whatever channel I select on the broken faceplate. What do I need to do to make it operate the original system?

It sounds to me like the replacement face you got it bad, unless it is not from the same model as your radio.

You shouldnt have any problem at all. These don't use any special anti-theft features that would keep you from using any faceplate.
