Could be overheating, check lent trap first or it could be an internal clogg near exhaust vent located in back cover that need to be cleaned out. or it could be your thermal fuse located in back cover.

Dryer stops

If the hum is loud I would suspect something is jammed and the motor is stopped leading to a heavy current running through the motor. After 5 or 10 minutes I would anticipate the circuit breaker would trip or the motor would burn up. If the humming suddenly stops then a thermal overload switch might be activating and when it cools down normal operation resumes. This is my only insight.

Dryer runs then stops after short periods (5-10 mins)

THere maybe a thermal limit sensor gone bad. Keeps the dryer from over-heating. Located behind rear panel on most and mounted on the heat tube. Verify with volt/ohm meter if possible

Car slipped out of DRIVE position only revving the RPM's.

Tranny low on fluid. When you stop or turn it all goes to one side causing the problems.

Loud buzz when starting, then shutting down after 10 min.

Yes, this sounds like the motor cutting out on thermal lockout.

Tumble dryer starts then stops after 5 mins and wont restart

the thermostat near the element is your high-limit shut off fuse. look for other and change it, it would be your cycling thermostats. Your dryer is not cycling and the one you changed is doing exactly what it is suppose to do, saving you a fire. basically your dryer is overheating.
