soory, how many time did you reset it ? Because I think, we should only reset it one time, the first time you're using it. For me, I think it was the second time, that is the reason, but I still search a solution for resolving this problem...

Y= button coming up as invalid

well, it could just be that you have some random wrong equation that is, as the calculator is telling you, invalid, press the y= button in the top left of your calculator and scroll down through the equations and if anything is there just hit clear to delete it, one by one, happens to me a lot if i don't put the cover on my calculator. if there is nothing under your y= i would try resetting the ram, and if that doesn't work i would try a factory reset, to get to these options press the 2nd button then the + (should say "mem" in blue above the button) then scroll down to reset and press enter, all the reset options are there.

My HP won't turn on anymore

I just fixed two "failure to power on" 49g+'s. For the first one I did a moderate slap of the unit against my thigh and then tried a reset (I thought maybe the reset was jammed with some debris) - it worked! The second one just needed me to scrape off some corrosion (an old toothbrush works) from the battery terminals - AJ
