Question about SanDisk Sansa E280 MP3 Player

2 Answers

My Sansa e280 is rediculously slow...

Anytime I try to switch songs or go back in menu it takes 5-20 seconds. I got the 8 gb model and have just under 1gb of space left after putting songs on it.

You can actually defragment your Sansa the same as you do your hard drive. Right-click your Sansa drive in Windows file explorer, Properties, Tools, Defragment. It should improve the speed of your player, but you'll need 15% free space to defrag.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

getting warm is normal I've never seen one get HOT, you can pull out the battery from these players very easey by removing 4 screws from the back of the player take it out for a minute and this should reset the player, if not you may need a new battery these are on Amazon for short money.

I took my Sansa back to the store under warrenty, They exchanged it straight across. Really the only advise your team gave me was to take the battery out and turn the unit back on- I had already done this several times before I contacted your site. I wasn't thrilled with the advise given to me
