What do xpcom mean when trying to get on to internet site as it keeps comeing up cannot load xpcom

Certain Firefox problems can be solved by performing a Clean reinstall. (XPCOM problems require a reinstall) This means you remove Firefox program files (not any bookmarks etc. in your profile folder) and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps:
Note: You might want to print these steps or view them in another browser.
  1. Download the latest Desktop version of Firefox from http://www.mozilla.org and save the setup file to your computer.
  2. After the download finishes, close all Firefox windows (click Exit from the Firefox or File menu).
  3. Delete the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
    • Windows:
      • C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
      • C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox
    • Mac: Delete Firefox from the Applications folder.
    • Linux: If you installed Firefox with the distro-based package manager, you should use the same way to uninstall it - see Install Firefox on Linux. If you downloaded and installed the binary package from the Firefox download page, simply remove the folder firefox in your home directory.
  4. Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
    1. Double-click the downloaded installation file and go through the steps of the installation wizard.
    2. Once the wizard is finished, choose to directly open Firefox after clicking the Finish button.

My facebook site is blocked.how can i unblock it.

sorry to hear that, unfortunately, you cant unblock it. or its possible that its just a browser issue, or if its caused by a virus, making you think it is indeed blocked. one way to verify is if the reason why its blocked when you used a wrong password or username several times, things like that. but if you think theres no reason for facebook to block you, try using firefox or googlechrome. or try loggin in using another pc.

Whenever I open GoogleChrome this appears: Error 138 (net::ERR_NETWORK_ACCESS_DENIED) I accidentally blocked the connection of google chrome to the internet & can't reverse it. I also added it to...

This is most likely your antivirus program (eg. McAfee Total Protection) blocking Chrome from accessing the internet. The firewall is blocking Google Chrome because the antivirus program no longer recognizes it - even though it is on the list of permitted programs. To fix this problem:
1. Click on Firewall > Settings 2. Click on Program Permissions 3. Click Google Chrome & the Delete button 4. Click the Add button 5. Browse for the Google Chrome.exe file (it should be in your User folder>App Data>Local>Google>Chrome>Application 6. Add the program and you're done! Please vote, if you like solution.. When i try to install googlechrome i get error code=0x80040909

First, ensure the Windows installation is not in Windows Audit Mode.

Windows Audit Mode is used by PC manufacturers to setup a new installation template for your computer. When I re-installed my laptop's Windows image, it was in Windows Audit Mode. To put Windows in a Normal mode, please try the following:

1. Go to the Start menu, and where it says Search Programs and Files, enter the following in that box: regedit
2. You will see the REGEDIT program icon, click it
3. Windows will ask if you're sure, click OK.

Now you have the Registry Editor open. Double-click the following to find the value we need to change (called STATE):
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
- SOFTWARE
- Microsoft
- Windows
- CurrentVersion
- Setup
- STATE

Right-click on STATE
Select Modify.
Delete the value (so it's blank)
Click OK and close the Registry Editor.

At this point, I tried the Chrome Stand-alone installer, and it still did not work.

So, I installed another browser (Firefox), and made that browser the default for my Windows 7 installation. Then, using Firefox, I tried the regular Chrome installer at www.google.com/chrome, and it worked perfectly.

Please explain what is meant when a person requests me to "open your browser" Where is it? on my computer? Thanks Carol

Applications like Internet Explorer, Firefox, Googlechrome are called Browsers. When you are asked to open the browser, it simply means to open any of the above mentioned application, maybe Internet explorer or firefox or googlechrom etc..... etc.. When you are asked to do so, just double click the application or open it from the "All Programs" by clicking "Start" on your "desktop"

If you need further help, let me know.

Good luck.

Using firefox, i can't access websites i get a page load error "address not found" what do you think is causing this.

You mean you can access internet on other browsers like Internet Explorer or googlechrome? if so, export the bookmarks and uninstall it. Restart your computer and reinstall it. That'll help you fix it and it's the easiest method.

I would also suggest you to run system cleaning and registry cleaning. You can download one from here (click here). Open the link, click "Download Now", wait for 20 seconds, then again click "Download File Now", save it and install it. Open the program, click "run cleaner" and then, after the cleaner is done, click "Registry" and click "Scan for issues" then "Fix all selected issues" > "No" > "Fix all selected issues" and close. Do this right after the firefox is uninstalled and restart your computer.

Good luck.

Thanks for using FixYa.

Can not login into yahoo.com computer all the time

I am sorry with your question, Did you mean you can't log in to you account or you can't open the www.mail.yahoo.com page?
If you can't open the yahoo site, then there are several reasons, might be your internet browser settings have blocked the yahoo site or like that.. it's also possible that you can't access the page coz of cache and cookies,in that case, you need to run a cleaning using a cleaner or with the built-in cleaner.
Well, first of all, please try opening the page on another web browser like firefox or googlechrome... you can download them here..;
Click here to download Mozilla Firefox
Click here to download Google Chrome
Do let me know after you try these.
Good luck.
Thanks for using FixYa.
