Question about Dmm Nuance Dragon Naturally Speaking 10 Preferred Wireless Full Version for PC

Dragon NS 10 has suddenly stopped working with MS word - which it has always done before. It still works with Outlook Express.\r\nI have checked the sound system and there seems to be no problem. Help please.

    It's been happening for several days, so there has been plenty of re-starting the computer.

    My relucance to re-install Dragon is that there are a very limited number of times you can re-install and I am planning to change my computer within the next few months, so can't waste any of them.

    I am using XP. Problems with DNS and Word have been developing for a while, but it has now stopped working completely. Even when a dictation box appears,( not always) it only registers a series of question marks - showing that it hears something but can't interpret it. It works as well as ever in Outlook Express.
    Help, please.

Hi.

If you still got the problem, do not reinstall the software. Do a system restore to one day before the problem started. That will fix the problem.

Hi,

Try this:
1. In Word 2. Click on 'Help', at the botttom of the menu click on 'About Microsoft Office Word'. 3. Then click on the Disabled Items button. 4. Select the Disabled Item and re-enable. you’ll have to check if the add-in is disabled.
If you’re using Word 2007 the link below for right information on how to enable add-ins in Word.

If the issue still persists try using the speech recognition software available with the Windows.

Have you tried restarting the computer already? I would suggest you reinstall the program and then try it on other computers as well.

Hi, when did this problem first occur? I would suggest checking with the email service provider to see if they have updated any of their IMAP / POP settings that you also would therefore ve required to update, also verify your password is correct etc. would you like me to help with this?

How to open an archive file from mail MS Outlook Express (dbx type), but without MS Outlook Express?


Look at the File menu. Perhaps there you will find "to Open".... It is possible through the import will work, but specify other personal folder (that others mail didn't mix up with yourself mail). File - Import - Outlook Express - the Main record - Review - the Necessary file - OK. I have my mail is almost always through the import downloaded, after reinstalling. Spell check in Outlook Express stopped working. I have repaired Win XP pro from the original disc and reinstalled SP3 and all updates. I repaired MS Office 2010 because spell check won't work without MS...


Here try these steps. Broken SpellChecker in XP Outlook Express
  • Open your Windows Explorer and navigate to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Proof
  • Delete the CSAPI3T1.DLL file if it is present. If it's missing just proceed to the next step.
  • Insert the Windows XP CD and close the window that opens if AutoRun is enabled.
  • Click Start | Run and in the Open: box type msconfig and click OK (See Fig. 01)

  • Click the Expand File... button to open the Expand One File from Installation Source window. (See Fig. 02)

  • Make the following entries in the Expand One File from Installation Source window.
  • File to Restore: Enter CSAPI3T1.DLL
    [Note: This entry must be hand typed rather than using the Browse File... button]
  • Restore From: Enter G:\i386\CSAPI3T1.DL_ (Change the G in G:\ to the letter of your CD Drive)
    [Note: This entry must be hand typed rather than using the Browse From... button]
  • Save File In: Enter C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Proof
    [Note: This entry can be made by using the Browse To... button]
  • Click the Expand button. There will be no outward indication that the procedure was successful. The Expand One File from Installation Source window will close and you'll be returned to the System Configuration Utility window. Click OK to close System Configuration Utility.
If you prefer not to expand the file from your own XP CD or can't get the procedure to work properly;
Download Expanded CSAPI3T1.DLL File
directly into C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Proof
  • Open Windows Explorer and again navigate to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Proof
  • Find the file that was expanded, CSAPI3T1.DL_ , and rename it to CSAPI3T1.DLL
  • Launch Outlook Express and navigate to Tools | Options | Spelling tab. Ensure there is a checkmark next to the Always Check Spelling Before Sending option.
  • Reboot the system and check OE for proper spell checking functions.

If you are unable to receive a particular attachment from an individual, it depends on the attachment. Microsoft Outlook Express strips attachments of Microsoft Files. That is if someone sends you a MS Excel spread sheet or Word document, Outlook Express will strip the attachment for security. There's no way around this. The fix is have the person send you their file in .ZIP format. Then you can unzip it locally.

Create a new profile for yourself in MS Outlook and configure your e-mail account in it. Hopefully this should resolve the problem.

Are you using any personal folders (.pst) in Outlook?

If the asnwer is yes; then were these personal folders created in Outlook 2003 or some earlier version of Outlook? In any case, if the older type personal folders are large in size, these can cause Outlook 2003 to stop responding or freezing.

Close MS Outlook; right click on the MS Outlook icon showing in the startup programs bar and choose properties; choose 'Show Profiles'; choose copy profile and then choose this new profile in the 'Always use this profile' option.

MS Outlook should now hopefully work fine.

Hi,

MS outlook is part of ms office and outlook express is part of the operating system. To reinstall the outlook express you need to go to the install additional components for windows option in add remove programs.

If you need to be able to use spell check in Outlook Express Please download the spell checker from here and install it you are good to go.

--Open Control Panel --> mail -->Remove any previous account info.
-- Reboot system
-- Repair Office by Office button --> Options --> Resources --> run Microsoft Diagnostics.
-- Start Outlook and configure
