Hi,
Following will be the causes
There is a motor/Pump which operates to to drain the water check whether that motor is working.
Check filter and clean it
Check the drain pipeline whether it clear
Check the inlet valve of the machine Sometimes the drain works properly but the inlet solenoid valve will not hold and the water keeps coming in and fills the drum

Thank You

Luckily this washer has easy access from the rear after I finally muscled it away from the wall. My model does not have a filter so I needed to get at the pump. I removed the pump intake and drain hoses. Three bolts and one AC plug and the pump was out. It was easy to disassemble. After removing the solenoid, I was able to rinse/shake smelly black gunk out of the impeller drive assembly. One note, the motor kind of snaps when you try to turn it manully...this is caused by the solenoid's magnetic field. Once it is removed the impeller spins freely.

I was not convinced that this gunk was the problem. But as I was putting it together I discovered that a quarter had fallen out of the drum to pump intake hose. It was black and probably had been there a while.

After all the reading about unbalanced loads etc. causing problems, I concluded that the quarter was intermittently blocking the drum from draining properly, which made the sweaters and towels more wet and the machine could not balance itself..a vicious cycle. So in fact the drain problem was actually making the balance problem worse which made draining that much harder.

Moral of the story: Check ALL pockets, and then check them all again :)

My washer wont drain it goes thru all the cycles but wont drain. at first with clothes in it it would drain onto the ground and not thru the drain pipe. took the front cover off to see where it was leaking...

Sounds like the drain pump has failed. Try to turn the impeller to see if it is bound-up. It may just be debris blocking the rotation of the motor. Is there a filter that has plugged?

Dishwaher wont drain-checked drain hose and its clean

The problem is most likely the drain valve. It is electrically operated and with your problem it is the most common cause.

If you need more help, post a comment.

I have a bosch wfd 2473 washing machine...wont drain,I have had this problem before and resolved it by removing drain/filter plug...normally a button or hair clip....but this time there are no objects blocking.I am guessing the drain pump is faulty and needs replacing...?????
