Question about Motorola Mobility RAZR V3
My razr went for a quick dip in a tub. i pulled it out immediately. I wz able to get it on briefly, then it turned off. I immediately took the battery and sim card out and dried them off. It still went on then off again. Then i plugged it in w/ charger and it came on for a bit, and then shut down again. I tried puffing air into in with a rubber bulb thingie, but that did not help. Then i disovered that i could still dial (the keys were lit up), make & receive calls. I must get the screen back though!!! I don't remember all the #'s in my phone book.
Take the phone apart like you did and put alittle paper clip in the screen part, drop your phone into a container of rice and seal it closed. IT should draw the mositure out. and then lay your phone on a heater vent for 24 hours. I dropped mine in the toilet, took it apart and now it works fine. It just has to dry out.

The main flex cable connector in the screen is most likely corruded... u need to open the cover and get it cleaned and replace it.this might be a bit difficult if u don't have a t6 or a t4 screwdriver, but if u do u need to remove the 4 screws located under the rubber stubs on the inner screen. pry off the cover and pop off the main connectore on the left hand top of the screen and clean it carefully with an old tooth brush and a little spirit. u need spirit because it evaporates quickly. you don't need anymore water in your phone.
If this doesn't work u need to get someone with another razr and go through the steps of copying your numbers onto your simcard. Each step u take on the working razr make sure u do the same on the damaged one.remember u can't see the screen on the damaged razr.when u are through u could always remove your sim card and try locating the numbers in another phone to see if u were successful.when you are doing the copy transfer on your phone if it was a lot of numbers make sure u give it at least 5 minutes to complete....try this:-
menu button (button above the four way toggle)
down button 10 times
wait for five minutes...
try your simcard in another phone and confirm your numbers...
this should work.
