To reset ENHWI-3GN Router and repeater press and release this button to reboot the device. Press and hold this button for 10 seconds to load the factory default settings of the system.
You can see this steps in this PDF manual on page 7.
I found these instructions for resetting the router to the defualt settings: Use the "Backup Settings" tool to save the Broadband Router's current configuration to a file named "config.bin" on your PC. You can then use the "Restore Settings" tool to restore the saved configuration of the Broadband Router that you set before. Alternately, you can use the "Restore to Factory Defaults" tool to force the Broadband Router to perform reset and restore the original factory settings. Restore Factory Default To restore the factory default settings of the Broadband Router, click on the "Restore" button. Backup Settings Press the "Backup Settings" button to save the current setting in a filed "config.bin" or given filename. Restore Settings To restore the backup file to the Broadband Router, enter the path and filename on the restore settings.
You can find the manual here: http://www.encore-usa.com/us/support/ENRTR-104
I'm not familiar with this particular Router, but you might try this.
Look on the back of your router and see if it has a reset or restore button.
1. With the router powered up, press the reset button, this should reset all login and passwords to the factory default just incase they had gotten changed from the default settings. 2. Now try logging in again.
You can know password in router settings. Connect your router to computer with ethernet cable then you can access it with following default link. http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.15.1 or http://192.168.2.1 If you are not able to access it with above ip then check your computers ip address gateway ip is your router ip try with it. Then it ask for user name and password. Type user as "admin" and password as "admin" or "password" or blank. Then you can see configuration page of router. If you are still not able to access router with above ip then you need to RESET it for that press RESET button for 10 seconds it is in back side of router then all settings defaults..Then you can access it with above method. . Then click on wireless->wireless security->WEP security there is code password note down it or enter new password then save setting s and restart router. then you can connect wireless with new password. Let me know if you need further assistance. Thanks for using FixYa.
Hi, what you need to do is this. IF you have NEVER set a password, then the default password will be the active one, and that is admin for login and admin for password.
However IF you have set a password and forgotten, then you need to remove the router from the power and reset the router via the reset button, usually in small hole at rear. Then power up again and use the default login and password, as before admin admin.
Now once you are logged into the router, then it is a simple matter to change the password to whatever you need, and then save the settings.
You didn't indicate the make and model of your router, I advise you to find a manual online and have a look in that just to make sure you have it all OK.
simply go to Google search, and type in the exact make and model and the word manual... this then will produce links to download a manual.
EG: Linksys 1234A manual
Reset the router to factory defaults by putting in a push-in in the small hold at the back of the router. You should then be able to login using the default password. Default password should be in the user manual.
Your modem will need an RJ11 or RJ45 connector on the back, which should be connected to your router via a relevant cable.
To get into you routers settings, you will need to type it's IP address in your internet browser(eg 192.168.1.1) or similair.
When in the settings look for DHCP settings and enable DHCP so as the router can allocate your pc's an automatic IP address.
The modem should already have it's settings and distribute the connection via your router.
Make sure you enable wireless also, but once you have it running make sure it is atleast WEP secured, this you will find in the security settings, you will need set the pc's also with the same encryption numbers that the router gives you or they will not connect.
Go to each of your pc's network cards in Control panel>Network Connections and right click to properties.
On the TCP/IP line highlight it and click properties and ensure obtain ip address is ticked and click ok.
Make sure also that you use the connection and file sharing wizard to set up your pc's to share files if required.
Lastly, i would of recommended purchasing a adsl modem/router as it's all built in one unit and easier to set up and troubleshoot when a problem occurs.
