Question about HP (A2839B) Mouse
Hmmm... if you are using a different mouse on the same pc and it works odds are your HP mouse is fried. Just out of curiousity and to confirm that the USB port that the HP mouse was connected to is not damaged, insert the Logitech wireless USB receiver into the HP's port and see if it still works.
If it does I suggest replacing the HP mouse. There are a number of factors that could've killed the mouse from USB power surge to rough handling, etc.
