I called Cusinart support and they told me to fill with 2 cups of white vinegar and the rest water, let set for three hours. Did that. Had to keep hitting the on button to get this solution through. Then used a solution of one cup of vinegar and water and this ran through the whole cycle. Ran three more with just water and now it works just fine. Brewed coffee this morning with no problem. Didn't think this would work but seems to have solved the problem. They do suggest you decalcify once a month using the vinegar solution...hope I remember to do this as it would be a lot easier than having to get hitting the on button. Good luck!

This is still under warranty, I would return for a new one. You could also call number in manual, they will probably replace it.

Make sure that when you do the vinegar solution, you do at least 4 cups of white vinegar, and fill it up the rest of the way (max fill line) with water. The manual says to "fill to capacity with a mixture of 1/3 vinegar and 2/3 water," which lots of people misunderstand, and think it means "1/3 CUP vinegar and 2/3 CUP water," which is not the case. It means 1/3 of your 12 cups (and 1/3 times 12 is 4 cups) of vinegar, and 2/3 of your 12 cups (aka, fill it up the rest of the way) of water.

You might have to let it soak for an hour before you try to brew it--this lets the vinegar work at the calcium buildup a LOT better (kind of like soaking your pots and pans before you try to clean them), but it should definitely work for you. If not, call Cuisinart's tech support (1 800 726 0190) and they might be able to get you a replacement :)

Hi,i have a Dualit coffee percolator which has suddenly stopped working, have you any advice as to how I coud fix this - could it be the pump?

Is it the electrical part? Are the lights on? If the lights are on then it is probably the flow of water. Hard water will stop it from working. Sometimes there is a blockage. You can try to put CLR or vinegar through the machine. You may even want to find someone with an air compressor. If you blow air from the "out spot" it can clear a blockage. If is difficult to tell without having it on front of me.
Sometimes the heating element can be burnt out or a wire is burnt off. Examine the wiring on the inside for any burnt wires.

My Kuerig B40 will not pull water from the tank

You most likely have a heating element bad or a burnt wire at the element. The water has to be drawn into by gravity and then heated so the heated water will percolate to the top. If there is no heat to that element, nothing will happen. Most coffee makers use a common element for the pot pad and the percolation process. Yours may have sepparate elements. Good Luck

How to brew coffee

USING YOUR PERCOLATOR
1.Wash the Percolator thoroughly before using for the first time.
(See "Cleaning Instructions" section in this manual.)

2.Remove Cover, Basket, Spreader and Pump Tube. Use cold, fresh
tap water to fill Percolator. Fill according to markings on inside
of Percolator for number of cups desired. Use cold tap water -
the automatic brewing cycle is timed to begin with a cold
water start.
NOTE: The bottom of the Pump Tube Spring marks the maximum
capacity of the Percolator.

3.Wet Coffee Basket to help keep small particles of coffee from sift-
ing through. Place Basket on Pump Tube. Add desired amount of
regular or percolator grind coffee to Basket.

4.Place Pump Tube with Basket into Percolator so bottom of tube is
set into Center Well. Place Spreader on top of Basket and snap
Cover onto Percolator. Attach cord to Percolator and plug into
standard household 120 volt AC wall outlet. Brewing begins
within seconds and continues at a cup-a-minute speed

5.When coffee brewing is complete, percolating will stop. The
Percolator automatically switches to "KEEP WARM" setting to
preserve fresh-tasting coffee at hot, ready-to-serve temperature.
For best flavor, remove Coffee Basket, Spreader and Pump Tube
when brewing is completed.

Maui outlets for Farberware percolator do not carry filters? Why?

I think it is because water goes through the coffee while it goes around and through the pipe inside the percolator Let the coffee stand for a few minutes when it is through, then .the coffee will be fine.
enjoy your coffee

My Cuisinart dcc-2600 does not distribute the water.

Over time, Calcium will deposit on the tubes and containers which get in touch with water. This can clog the Percolating tube, resulting in low or slow water circulation.
The calcium can also impact the function of the Heating elements in the percolator tube.

Try Decalcifying with Designated Products.
Usually, you do this by diluting the product, fill up the water reservoir, and cycle on the machine, without cofee of course,
Pour out the water. It will probably look troubled.
If the water does not start percolating, just let the water reservoir stand with the decalcification product for about 30 mins. don't leave it in overnight, because these products are slightly caustic to remove the Calcium, but it could damage parts if left in the machine overnight.

Repeat the process until the water starts running faster.
don't forget to rinse with regular water. 2 Cycles rinsing should suffice.
See manual for suggested products or just use 1/4 cup of Vinegar diluted with Water. .

I would repeat this process every month or so if you use your machine daily.

If this does not solve, try contacting cuisinart customer service at 1-800-726-0190

Not enough water comes out when making coffee on Miele Cva 615

Your nozzles could be clogged or the percolator itself is clogged. Try to stick a toothpick into the nozzles to clear up any blockages, then perform a descale on the system using 2 large tablets. Make sure the tablets dissolve completely, if not you risk the chance of clogging the whole system.

It will no longer pump water, it gets hot but no water pumps thru and no coffee brews. What can I do?

Can you hear water "percolate" inside the unit? Or is it just the hot plate that gets hot? If you can hear water heating inside the unit then you probably have hard water calcium blockage. Try running 50/50 vinegar/water solution and see if that solves the problem. If no sound of water heating in the unit then the heater has gone bad. No spare heaters exist so your only alternative is to buy one on ebay or at a local thrift shop, sorry.

How to make coffee with 101-cup percolator urn (Regalware)?

Simply fill with COLD water to the number of cups desired.
Place the stem and basket in the pot and put one 8 oz cup of coffee for every 20 cups of water into the basket...when doing 100 cups I add an extra 12 oz of coffee for a good coffee flavor.
Place the perforated lid on the coffee basket that is in the pot (if there is a lid--some do not have a lid). Put the cover for the coffee pot in place.
Plug in.
Turn on if there is a switch.
Give these large pots about 1 minute per cup, brewing time...that is a little over an hour usually to brew 100 cups. The coffee maker will percolate with the water coming up through the stem and over the coffee as the water heats. Usually there is an indicator light that comes on when it is finished.

If holding the coffee for awhile, it tastes best if you remove the stem and basket and it will maintain the heat without doing more "perking" and becoming stronger or bitter.

Be sure to wash it out and dry it well, leaving the lid loose or upside down for storage so that the pot doesn't become pitted. Blessings, Louise
