Question about Computers & Internet

1 Answer

Hi, I suspect that it may be the driver, however, I'm not sure. It started three days ago, the monitor turned blue and froze. I shut it down....since then when I try to turn it on it makes long beeping sounds(beeeep, beeep, beep....) and does not even make the sound when the fan are starting. I have to press the on/off button for ten seconds and it then shuts down. I tried to turn again, and does the same thing. After several attempts it miracaoulsy turns on. However, it starst to freeze over and over again. I'm using save mode right now. I don't know what else to do... I have cleaned unsued browsers, programs, gave her twice a disk up clean up. Tried to defragment her but it froze in the middle. I'm going to install Driver Whiz to see if it works, but in the mean time. Can someone please tell me what is happening and how can I fix it? Thank you very much.

Eather the RAM has gone bad or its a hardware arugment so first remove the last thing you installed on it if this does not work try removing one RAM at a time. P.S. please report back so i can help you get done with this.

Samsung sa850t monitor right half of screen is solid blue

Hi,

I think your Display monitor cable damage, or may be your motherboard display cheap damage, or your display driver problem create.

First of all you check your display driver or reinstall driver. Sec think used external VGA card or check it. If not solved then your monitor display section damage. So contact good monitor technician.

Thanks..

Fuel lines in 2004 gmc Yukon froze. How do I get it to start again

Put some gas in it before you ruin the fuel pump. That is step #1.
Next, try running a heat gun or hair dryer over the fuel lines from one end to the other, if you suspect the fuel lines are frozen.
Hopefully that will be enough to get it going.

Compaq presario b1900 fails to give output to monitor. If output comes out it gives blue screen and shuts down. If you switch on again the fan and disk do run but no output to screen. An external monitor...

Hi,
That blue screen and shut down, means a problem on both OS and Hardisk.
If you got any hardisk for that laptop. try it and am sure it will work.
The faint beep means a good memory card.

Hope that helps!

Monitor will not turn on including power switch

I suspect the power supply for the monitor. Try a power supply from a working monitor. If you have a used computer store nearby, take your power supply to them and try it on another monitor.

There is no need to turn off a monitor using its power switch. Monitors automatically go into standby mode when they are not receiving a signal. In standby mode they use less than one cent of electricity per day. If saving electricity is your goal, raise the temperature in your home by a degree and run the air conditioning less.

Color problem

There are three Cathod Ray guns responsible for the millions of colors. All colors are produced by mixing the three basic colors namely Red Green and Blue (RGB) at suitable proportion. If any one of the three guns fail firing then we get improper colors. This can be rectified by
(1) hitting the monitor at the back by keeping it on a pillow the screen facing down - it will reolve the problem if the failure is due to the loosening of the Head due to repeated thermal expansion and contaction.
(2) check the signal cable for loose connection, twisting etc on both ends - at the back of the CPU and Monitor (it is fixed)
TRY YOUR LUCK

Water "pouring" from freezer condenser

sounds like drain in freezer is clogged and has iced over

so when unit goes into defrost water leaks into freezer bottom and freezes

you can either shut off fridge for a day and let ice in drain melt
and hopefully clear line

or u can take back cover off freezer section pour hot water in drain pan and make sure drain hole is cleared and draining down to pan

Freezer Drawer Stuck

Our 550 bottom freezer drawer froze shut earlier this week and the motor made an unusual sound, like it was working too hard. Two of us eventually were able to open the drawer to find that it had frozen shut due to a leak which filled the ice tray solid and then adhered to the actual door, freezing it shut. We emptied the fridge and freezer, turned the control dials down to 0, but neither the motor nor the light would go off. We finally killed the circuit breaker to get the appliance to shut down. It's cleaned and defrosted and we noticed that the gasket has torn in three places, two on the fridge door and one on the freezer door. The freezer door could be from our tugging, but the refrigerator door is normal wear and tear. We filled the tears with some kind of putty and when it is dry we will start everything up again. This is not the first problem of this nature we have experienced with our subzero 550, but it is the most dramatic. Each previous time we have called a repair man out and he has been unable to fix it.
