Try the follow:

  1. right click on My Computer icon located on the desktop, and select "Manage"
  2. click on "Device manager"
  3. scroll down to Network Adapters
  4. right click on each of the adapters and select "Disable"
  5. then right click again and select "Enable"
now try to see if things started to work again.

if it doesn't work try searching for the driver on the HP site: http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/en/welcome.html#Support

Emachine won't connect to the internet. Ethernet cable, router and modem all work just fine. problem is with computer. Check network adapters in device manager and no problem noted there. Why won't it...

first try to check if your wireless can actually detect a network, if it can try to remove ALLthe network that you have on your wireless network and try to add your network again, if still doest work try to uninstall and re install your wireless driver, if it still doesnt work try to restart your router, if still doesnt work try to do system restore to the point where your wireless was workin fine, lastly if still doesnt work try to contact your ISP for some configuration.

Network Adapter/Ethernet Controller

Nothing wrong with having two network adapters installed on your computer. If you have this DWA-552 wireless adapter installed as well as an onboard NIC, the correct thing to do is have both drivers installed so you see them both in your Control Panel->Network Connections window.

If you really want the onboard nic to go away, go into device manager and disable it - not uninstall it.

? Network problem

This is generally a driver glitch. Check to see if the wireless card is receiving a signal. If not, then uninstall the wireless drivers from the device manager and reboot. Th machine will find the card and reinstall the drivers. If it does see a signal, but won't connect, then try plugging in with an ethernet cable to see if it will connect. If it doesn't connect with the cable, then uninstall the network controller drivers and reboot. If the problem persists let me know and we'll try another approach.

Re. aspire 1360 wireless problem

hi there,
for your first question ..yes u are uninstalling from device manager. and the second.. the wireless card not showing was taken into account..cause the ethernet controller that has the yellow mark is your wireless card..it just does not have the drivers...hence the name ethanet controller....

try this link for the card listed in your post :-
