According to HP's website, the driver for your HP PSC 2210 All-In-One printer is already included with Windows 7 and should not need to download any drivers for it.
Please refer to the link below for instructions on installing your printer in Windows 7.
1. Turn Off your printer and unplug the printer Usb cable 2. Restart your computer 3. Go to Start Menu > Control Panel > Printers and Faxes > open HP 2210 icon 4. If there's pending print jobs cancel them all 5. Then Turn-on your computer, plug-in Printer usb cable 6. go back to the Printers and Faxes (step 3) 7. Check the Printer status
( If the printer is still offline, check the Usb cable unplug and insert again ) ( the best thing is use another Usb cable for your printer if your printer is still in offline mode )
Second, check the model of your printer if you installed the right driver for it. If you don't have the CD driver, download it free in HP website:
HP Director simply doesn't open? Check your version of Internet Explorer. If you've recently installed Internet Explorer 7, you will need to download the update on the HP website. Go to hp.com, click "Software & Driver Downloads", enter your product, choose your operating system, and there should be an update/patch for Director issues with IE7. Hope this helps.
I'm not sure about this specific model, but I've had similar problems with other HP all-in-ones and usually what fixes it is uninstalling and reinstalling the software (make sure to follow their directions properly and not plug the printer in until they tell you to). You should also make sure you're using the most updated software from the HP website rather than the one that came on the CD with the printer which may be outdated.
