I found an easy fix for this at http://www.spyware-techie.com/antivirus-2008-or-antivirus2008-removal-guide/. It tells you about Antivirus 2008 running scans with fake results and how to use smitfraudfix to remove it completely. Smitfraudfix has a way of removing all files that are related to antivirus 2008 so they do not boot up next time you start your pc. You have to remove the files in safe mode with smitfraudfix.

Hi,

You can use the Nortan removal tool available from the Symantec :

ftp://ftp.symantec.com/public/english_us_canada/removal_tools/Norton_Removal_Tool.exe

Download & remove the norton 2007.

This tool can be used to remove all versions of Norton.

First you should shut down all the services of Norton before trying to remove it.

Restart the system.

Now you are good to go.

Good Luck.

How to edit or format microsoft word

Hi there,
With a question like that I'm going to assume that you're using MS Windows(one version or another).... As well, I'll assume that you don't have any Microsoft Office programs installed.

A totally FREE & legal MS Office replacement program developed by enthusiastic programmers:

Homepage: http://www.libreoffice.org

Install-Program Download Link:
http://download.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/stable/3.3.3/win/x86/LibO_3.3.3_Win_x86_install_multi.exe

I use this office-suite exclusively, and am very satisfied with it. It will open, and be able to edit, all of the MS Office file formats, even including the recent .docx nightmare.

I hope that helps.

I want ti install JDK version 1.5

1.Remove the previous version of Java installed on your computer by selecting "Start->Control Panel->Add/Remove Programs" from your computer's Start menu. Then, choose the Java program in the program listing and select the remove icon.

2. Uninstall Quicktime from the Add/Remove Programs menu after Java is uninstalled. In past versions of Quicktime, it has been known to interfere with new Java JDK installations.

3.Download JDK 1.5 from the link listed in the Resources section of this article.

4.Choose the installer program after download is complete and choose the default menu options displayed by the installer to install the JDK to your computer. Restart your computer after installation is complete and you will have JDK 1.5 installed on your computer.

How to remove "Live PC care" program that was installed to my PC without my consent? Thanks a lot

If you are using windows xp then you need to access the Add/Remove programs list. You do this by clicking on your start button and then going to Control panel and then selecting Add/Remove programs and Live PC Care should be located somewhere in that list. You then have the option to unistall it.

If you are using windows vista it's the same thing although it isn't called Add/Remove programs, it's called Programs and Features. This will also bring up the programs you have installed and you can then proceed to remove Live PC care. Good luck. Andrew

In Windows, how do I uninstall programs? Using the Add/Remove Programs control panel The Add/Remove Programs control panel in Windows makes it easier to uninstall programs. Follow the appropriate instructions below to use this control panel.
Windows 7
  1. From the Start menu, select Control Panel.

  2. In Large or Small icon view, click Programs and Features. If you're using Category view, under "Programs", click Uninstall a program.

  3. Select the program you want to remove, and click Uninstall. Alternatively, right-click the program and select Uninstall.
Windows Vista
  1. From the Start menu, select Control Panel.

  2. In Classic View, double-click Programs and Features. If using the Control Panel Home view, under "Programs", click Uninstall a program.

  3. Select the program you want to remove, and click Uninstall. Alternatively, right-click the program and select Uninstall.
Windows XP in the default XP view
  1. From the Start Menu, select Control Panel.

  2. Click the Add or Remove Programs icon.

  3. Select the program you wish to remove and click Remove.
Windows XP in Classic View and 2000
  1. From the Start menu, select Settings, and then Control Panel.

  2. Double-click the Add/Remove Programs icon.

  3. Select the program you wish to remove and click Add/Remove.
Using the Uninstall program from the Start menu If the program you wish to uninstall is not listed among the installed programs, an uninstall program for that item might be available on the Start menu. To look for such an option:
  1. From the Start menu, select Programs or All Programs.

  2. Find the folder for the program you wish to uninstall and highlight it.

  3. In many cases, on the menu that appears, you will see an uninstall option.

Please let me know how this works out for you...
Thank you
Jon

Large space between apps in add/remove programs

Download tweak XP from the net, install it, run it, there is a tab named ADD/REMOVE programs, it DOES NOT add or remove programs, rather, it allows you to edit the Add/Remove program List only, so you should select the "blanks" and remove the from the list. ReClarify: IF you remove an entry from the Add/Remove tab using Tweak XP, It will no longer be available under windows control panel add/remove and if it IS still installed you will NOT have a way to remove the program.
